Le Louvre has many Chardins, including the Strawberry Basket that they bought last year or so, for 24 million. Good luck trying to see them, though, as their room seems to be the first to be closed whenever they lack personnel, i.e. most of the time.

Haul of the day: Eric Tabuchi's Atlas of Forms, a precursor of sorts to the (immense) Atlas des Régions Naturelles. The filiation with Bernd and Hilla Becher is not explicitly stated (the book has no text), but obvious.
