Bucky himself scrunched his nose at the idea. "Yeah no." That was already a big no for him. Even thinking about it made him cringe greatly. "Glad you two are getting along. I heard that he gets on a lot of people's nerves." He spoke in a lightly joking manner.

He offers a small nod, understanding where she was coming from. "It makes sense." If anything, Bucky understood in his own way. He feared that when people heard his name, they'd refer him as the Winter Soldier instead. So the same but different. "What made you use his last name this time?"

Bucky sat up straight, making sure she wouldn't get up just yet. "I'm sure he is." Knowing how strong Shuri is, he knew the man had to have been in bad shape. "I'm guessing he didn't get to?" He grabs a cup of water, handing it over to her.

He lets his hand drop to his side after he shook her hand. The information really had him stunned. He wondered if Steve ever knew about her. It wasn't surprising that Tony never told him about her given their relationship. "Living abroad is a smart idea. I'm sure you get asked a lot of questions."

Bucky wasn't surprised that he's been heard of before. Especially with him once being the Winter Soldier. That was a known fact. More so, he was also known from the information in a museum! Her name almost made him choke on his saliva. "Stark?" Maybe it was a coincidence. Bucky shakes her hand.

Hearing her voice was immediately reassuring. Just knowing that she was ok enough to speak was enough. It soothed almost all the worries he had carried. "Shuri- Jesus you scared the hell out of me. What happened? I found you all beaten up like a punching bag. Do you remember anything?"

The look in his eyes showed immediate interest and joy. Almost like a child looking at a stack of presents under a Christmas tree. "That would be great. Thanks...I uh don't remember if I introduced myself. I'm Bucky."

The information that he had just received was surprising. He had never known of Hunter. After listening to him, he offers a firm nod. "I see. I'll try my best. Thank you, T'Challa." A soft welcoming smile forms quickly. "Oh and I'm sorry for your loss."

There's no question that he would help in any way he can. Bringing her to the medics is the first thing he'd do. The second- find out who's the culprit. He had a few words for them. Well for now, he'd stay by Shuri's side to make sure she's ok. That's his top priority. The suspect won't get far.

"A cup of coffee sounds like heaven right about now." If there was one drink that Bucky could have all the time, it would be coffee. "I'm likely going to take this little guy home and introduce him to Alpine. See how that goes."

"Ham...I like that." It did have a good ring to it. Plus, it was endearing for a little hamster. Very fitting. "What do you plan to do after this?" He questioned as he looked up from the small animal.

He'd furrow his eyebrows at the small mutter but didn't comment on it. "Should I name him something else? It does kind of sound...off. Maybe I'll name him uh Biscuit."

He was definitely going to adore it. Gently, he took I into his hand. His eyes inspected it carefully. "I think its a boy..." Bucky noted. "He's cute. It's good that you saved him. Like what you said, he wouldn't survive New York." He placed him into his little leather jacket pocket.

He'd think about it only for a second before finally giving in. "Fine. I'll take it." Bucky reaches his flesh hand out for the little gremlin. "Is it a boy or a girl?"

"...I think it would be a good idea if you kept it. What if Alpine gets jealous? She'll kill it then hate me." He might be overreacting just a tiny bit. "Also didn't they always fight?"
