Caring about others, caring not just about your risk, but your effect on others’ risks, is the deal we all make to live in a society. If you choose not to care, but insist on living amongst others, you are reneging on a promise.

Plenty of privileged folks get angry at me for saying this, but, if you don’t have a condition that makes it hard to do so, and you choose not to wear a quality respirator (like an N95) in indoor public spaces, you are announcing that your convenience is more important than someone else’s life.
