I'm 60% through Reign & Ruin and I really like it. There's an actual plot and even though the characters are in their mid-20s they actually seem like adults. I also enjoy that the "slow burn" just seems like a natural progression of characters getting to know one another.

Lol, saw a $400 skirt I liked from Dôen then was immediately able to find a nearly exact vintage version of it on Etsy for $32. It's a fun game.

I'm now on chapter six of Reign & Ruin of the Mages of the Wheel series. I was planning to read this on Kindle but the audiobook became available at my library so I went ahead and got it. So far I really like the writing. The characters are ofc still being defined, but so far so good.

Just finished Onyx Storm. I like the setting and plot enough to read the next two books whenever they come out but I really don't have strong feelings about any of these characters. Even though it's about war and brutal fighting/injuries etc, 1/2

My holds for both the text and audio of Alchemised are now only 2-3 weeks away 😱. I loved Manacled, so I'm really curious to see how different it will be.

Man my TBR list just keep getting longer and longer. Originally I was going to read a romantasy series in between finishing The Wheel of Time and starting The Witcher, but now I have a 20 item long list of Victorian and historical Gothic/horror books 🙃

I'm now at 64% in A Memory of Light and the battle descriptions have definitely become tedious and relentless. Which, I'm sure is the point, but still.

The Brandon Sanderson WoT's are really good. Maybe it's unfair to judge after books 8-11 being so slow, but I liked his installments the best (still only 40% through A Memory of Light though).
