A quick info post :) I'm going to be in the city library Augsburg on saturday to sell and sign my comics.

I did it!!! I just drew the last page of "Flight of Fancy" 😍 The last scene turned out adorable 😁 Now I only need to work a little more on the book layout and then I can send it off to the printer 🥹

A huge pile of Rosenhof books just arrived 🫢 I’m going to be on a couple of events this year where you can buy them from me and get an original drawing 🌸 The first event will be the Free Comic Book Day in the city library of Augsburg next Saturday ☺️

I‘m so close 🤩 I somehow need to finish this book by the end of the week. So I decided to ignore, that it’s Saturday and perfect spring weather outside and make this a workday 💪

I'm glad. The feedback from the authors came yesterday. I usually wound't bat an eye if something is one day too late but my skin got thin over the last months and especially regarding this project in particular 🫠 Now I need to finish 4 to 5 illustrations every workday to make that deadline 😭

So there is still no feedback although I repeatedly made clear how importantly is for me to get it in time so I’m able to make this almost impossible deadline. I‘m tired 🥲 I really hope I get it today because I just want to work and not worry all the time 🫣

This week did not exactly go as planned. I put too much on my plate ... I hate this feeling 🥲 Next week will be very stressful because I have to pick up the book project again as soon I have the feedback from the publisher. But it'll be okay as soon as get back into my normal flow ❣️

Four workdays left, until I can expect the client feedback on my sketches. That means I have only four more days to finally draw the last scene of my own graphic novel if I want to be able to send it to the printer in time 🫠 I can do this!!!

The week in Bologna at the Children's Book Fair and the few days in Florence were a blast 🌞 I'm so fulfilled with new ideas, impressions and beautiful memorys 🤩 It was also wonderful to come home to my boyfriend and our cats yesterday. But it will take me a while to get back to normal again 😌

By the way I'm going to Bologna Children's Book Fair next week 🤩 I'm so excited! The downside is, that I need to finish preparing my website, portfolio and a flyer in the next couple of days beside drawing the last sketches for my deadline 😅 But I'm well in time with everything so far 💦

Oh wow! This also happend last week 🥳 I'm really proud of being part of something this big and amazing (although this project is also taking a toll on me sometimes 🫢)!

I ignored, that today is a holiday and now 107 of 114 sketches are done 😌 That means I have a bit moren then 3 workdays for the remaining 7. That's doable although they are all complex scenes and I have a ton of other things to do as well 👀 So it's still a bit too early to celebrate 😬

I hope, you had wonderful easter holidays 💗 I spent a lot of time with family and am really thankful and glad that I was able to do that, because all the horrendous news from across the globe make me appreciate what I have much more 😭

I just surpassed the 100 sketches 😭 Not super happy with some of the motivs so far because I always had to go with the first idea that came to my mind. But I'm so glad because that means I can spend the easter holidays with my family without worrying too much about my deadline next week 🫠

Yay! I'm at 94 of 114 sketches. But I feel so exhausted. It's this part of long term projects with tight deadlines I struggle most with. It doesn't matter how good I keep up with my schedule, although I know I'm in desperate need of a break I have to keep on working until the very last day 🫠

I finally got the contract for my next big project 🫣 On one hand I'm so glad because that means I will have work until the end of the year. On the other hand I'm already panicking because the deadlines are so tight again, that one unexpected happening will turn it into chaos 😬

I like working out and enjoy being active. But I genuinely have no idea how I should balance it with my busy work schedule and all the other stuff I should take care of on a day to day basis 😥 I had a wonderful time this morning at physio therapy. But now I'm so exhausted and just want to nap 😴

"Project Hail Mary" was very very good ❣️ Wonderful production and such a great story! I already loved the book and being able to see everything come to life felt very special 🥹 🪨💗

Fun fact: I was by far the youngest patient at physio therapy today (only the trainer seemed to be my age and younger) and I'm not sure if that's good or bad 😂 Nevertheless I'm currently doing my best to get my back better again 👍

I'm already at 65/126 sketches. Yay! But I'm still waiting for the authors to figure out what to do about the 16 extra briefings they sneaked in 😬 So there's a whole section of complex motivs I can't start yet. Plus I made it a little bit too easy for myself by starting with only the easy stuff 😭

I just learned, that March 31 is world backp day and I decided, that I will not wait until then and make my long overdue data back now 😅 I really should do that more often and more frequently 🫢

38/126 sketches are done 💪 Although I should add, that 34.5 of those have already been there when I got the briefing because I either already did them for the cover illustration or recycled from other books 😜 The remaining 88 are going to much more work though 🙄

Yeah! My mini-comic about quantum physics is finally done. I’ve ended up spending far more time on it than I should have 🫢But when it’s hanging in the exhibition alongside all the other wonderful quantum comics during the Comicsalon in Erlangen in June, I’ll be glad I went the extra mile 😁

I just bought the new version of Clip Studio and promised myself to finally make the switch from my awkward Procreate/Photoshop/InDesign workflow. I'm 30 minutes in and already so frustrated 😂 But since they finally added Quickshapes to the programm, I don't have any excuses left 🫣

Swimming makes me so sleepy 😴 But it's good for my back, so I'll try to go at least once a week💦

I can't believe it. The briefings for my next big project are finally here. So now I need to figure out, how I can sketch 126 illustrations in only 19 (work)days 🥲👍 But most of them are only very small spot motivs so it should be doable if I don't get too distracted 🫠

Yay! The first book of the new fantasy trilogie by Karola Löwenstein is out and I had a lot of fun designing the covers :) It's always a great challenge for me to refine the "Karola Löwenstein look" :D

This is so cool! Barbara Yelin is such an amazing artist and a wonderful person. I can't wait to see what kind of amazing comics will arise from this. Low key thinking about if I can somehow justify to become a student again myself 😂

Thinking a lot about colors lately 😌 This is the final color palette for my comic about quantum physics❣️

I got the feedback that my original background color is perceived as grey 🫢 that’s definitely not what I want so I need to change it before I send the book to the printer. What do you think?

And another page is done 🤩 I’m so slow. But as long as I don’t stop completely working on this it will be fine. Still aiming for bringing the finished book to Comicsalon Erlangen this June 😬

Yay! My comic about quantum physics is almost done 😃 It turned out pretty cool and I had so much fun 😍 You will be able to read it (and many more from other very cool artists) during Comicsalon Erlangen in June as part of an exhibition. I keep you up to date when and where exactly it will happen 😃

So my lower back is now officially fucked up 🥲👍 But it's nothing too serious (yet) so I'll give my best at physiotherapy and will follow all the advice. Wish me luck that it gets back to normal soon 🙄
