And again I'm right in the middle of the "Swamp of Despair" 🫢 But I've been here a couple of times before so I already know my way around 🥲

Woah! Why is storyboarding sooo hard for me 😂 It's like my brain just doesn't want to do it so I always have to find ways to trick it into doing it anyway 🧠 so fascinating! But well, I just passed the 1/3 milestone which is good. But I still have 60 pages to go and only 5 weeks left 🫠

This!!! I'm already using it for years on every device I own. It took a bit of time to get used to it but I personally think it's more than worth it 🌱💗

Yesterday was the Time2Run obstacle course and my boyfriend and I had such a blast ❤️ I’m not a particular sporty and fit person (on the contrary I struggle with some chronic pain and fatigue) so being finally able to run 10km and even succeeding in around 2/3 of the obstacles means a lot to me 🥺

The paperwork is finally done. I'm glad 😤 Now back to sketching my comic pages since I'm a bit behind schedule because of that annoying sidequest 😭

Sometimes I think, it would be better for pay someone to do my paperwork for me. But I'm afraid I can't find a person who's willing to do it for a fair fee AND feels like keeping up with my chaos 😂 I mean I'm not a worst case. I have folders ... But there's not much structure inside them 🙃

Today is one of the days that feels like chewing old gum 🫠 I did a little bit of paperwork and tampered with one double page of sketches so far. That's definitely not enough. Let's see if I'll find the energy to tackle at least one more thing on my to do list 🙃

Back on the desk after a wonderful weekend 💗 My top two priorities this work week: ✨ Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung ✨ ✨ 14 pages storyboard sketches ✨

Yay! The work week is almost over and I somehow managed to finish my page quota and even got a little bit of other stuff done as well. No I just want to sleep for two full days 😴 There's one more thing to do and then you'll find me on the couch 😂

Decadent! I went on a short run and then to the gym. And now I'll go for a swim. I probably won't be able to finish my 4 pages of storyboard because of this today. But self care is important and I'll take part in an obstacle course over 10km in a few days so it would be stupid to not prepare a bit 😬

And 8 of 88 comic pages are sketched! 4 pages a day is actually a very good pace. But 4 pages take me almost all day and I have so much other stuff to do 🫣 But well ... I'll try to come as close to 4 every workday as I can and figure everything else out along the way 😌

In the end my boss (so myself) gave me "hitzefrei" for 4 full days 💦 it finally cooled down a bit today so I'm back in the studio trying to get ahead of my to do list ✨

I just set up the file for the storyboard of my next comic book in Clip Studio. I'm afraid there's no looking back now to my old messy workflow where I used a wild mix of InDesign, Photoshop, Procreate and Blender to make a comic page 😂

"Hey boss, can you give me "hitzefrei" today?" Oh wait ... I'm my own boss and the answer is "no" 🥲

It's so warm and I feel like all the projects I should do this week circle like an agry swarm of bees around my head 😵🐝 Why can't I take a nap in a cold dark cave somewhere instead? 🫠

I finally took the time to set up my June bullet journal pages and get an overview of all the stuff I have to do in the next couple of weeks. Well ... it's a lot 🫢 But at least I have something like a plan now 😌

Since I finally finished all the illustrations for this book, I can start to look forward to it at last 🍯🐝

Today is the first official day working on my next big comic project. I feel like a hiker on the foot of a very huge mountain 😅 But I climbed similar mountains before so I should be fine 🙃

I just applied for the next ShortBox Comics Fair 🤩 I already tried it two times before so maybe the third time is a charm 🍀

Back from Comicsalon Erlangen 2026 ... It was sooooooo wonderful 🥹 I'm still very tired because I definitely did not sleep enough during the festival 😂 But I'm so full of bliss right now I will be able to feed on that for a while 💗

Uff ... I still have to finish three more illustrations for my book deadline today 😥 This is going to be a long workday.

If you wondered how my book illustration project is going: I have 10 days (14 if I work in the weekends) to finish 50 illustrations 😂 15 of them are half a page with many characters and background and the other 35 small(ish) vignettes. Yeah it's going to be another tight race against the clock 😭

First day back in the studio and I could already wear my to do list like a skarf again 😂

And I’m back from my vacation in Croatia (Istria) and Slovenia (Triglav National Park). It was much colder then expected 😂 but I finally had the chance to wind down for a couple of days and really needed that ☺️ I was so exhausted and feel much better now 🌸

I did it!!! I just drew the last page of "Flight of Fancy" 😍 The last scene turned out adorable 😁 Now I only need to work a little more on the book layout and then I can send it off to the printer 🥹

A huge pile of Rosenhof books just arrived 🫢 I’m going to be on a couple of events this year where you can buy them from me and get an original drawing 🌸 The first event will be the Free Comic Book Day in the city library of Augsburg next Saturday ☺️

I‘m so close 🤩 I somehow need to finish this book by the end of the week. So I decided to ignore, that it’s Saturday and perfect spring weather outside and make this a workday 💪

I'm glad. The feedback from the authors came yesterday. I usually wound't bat an eye if something is one day too late but my skin got thin over the last months and especially regarding this project in particular 🫠 Now I need to finish 4 to 5 illustrations every workday to make that deadline 😭

So there is still no feedback although I repeatedly made clear how importantly is for me to get it in time so I’m able to make this almost impossible deadline. I‘m tired 🥲 I really hope I get it today because I just want to work and not worry all the time 🫣

This week did not exactly go as planned. I put too much on my plate ... I hate this feeling 🥲 Next week will be very stressful because I have to pick up the book project again as soon I have the feedback from the publisher. But it'll be okay as soon as get back into my normal flow ❣️

Four workdays left, until I can expect the client feedback on my sketches. That means I have only four more days to finally draw the last scene of my own graphic novel if I want to be able to send it to the printer in time 🫠 I can do this!!!

The week in Bologna at the Children's Book Fair and the few days in Florence were a blast 🌞 I'm so fulfilled with new ideas, impressions and beautiful memorys 🤩 It was also wonderful to come home to my boyfriend and our cats yesterday. But it will take me a while to get back to normal again 😌
