Ok so Yoshi’s Island has become slightly less tedious to 100% but only because you can stack up items to give yourself like 20 health immediately. It almost feels like it’s gone from being way too irritating to just… what’s even the point

Terranigma is as incredible as I expected it to be. Extremely fun, both in terms of the combat and the world development (for the most part) and one of the most grand, unique and touching stories I’ve ever experienced in a game.

It’s the same joke again

Illusion of Gaia. It can be clunky, confusing even concerning but I’ll be damned if I can’t give it its dues. Like on top of just being a very fun action RPG (even if I think Soul Blazer was more fun) it has an extremely ambitious story, amazing presentation, I see why it captures so many hearts.

Illusion of Gaia is great but I feel like I’m really hurting my enjoyment by trying to fight bosses as Will. Doing that with the vampires took hours and it wasn’t fun (slowdown made any strategy inconsistent) so I need to just enjoy myself because Freedan is more fun to fight with.

Wario World is one of those weird games where it’s flawed, arguably quite flawed indeed, but not in any way that makes it less fun. And to be honest that’s why I much prefer it to Mario Sunshine which is flawed in ways that make it far less fun

I think one thing the Switch and Switch 2 menus don’t get enough credit for is the fact that unlike all previous Nintendo home menus your physical games are kept on the Home Screen even when you take the cart out. It makes the Home Screen feel a lot more reflective of what you actually play.

I think the main reason I don’t like Persona as much as SMT is that Persona’s unique combat mechanics all just feel like simplified, less interesting, less potent versions of SMT mechanics made *to be simpler*

Virtue’s Last Reward isn’t a half bad game so far but unfortunately it’s no 999. Then again I wasn’t that positive on 999 at this similar point in the game but I don’t feel any of the great setup or in general great qualities of 999 in VLR…
