Booker is right. $75K as a 1099 sounds cute until taxes eat 30% that you, not the company, pays. Now youâre at $52.5K. No benefits, no insurance, and you cover travel, gear, rent, etc. That âbig opportunityâ money? Barely entry-level. Itâs not disrespect to walk away itâs math.
