The desire to run for office and help is so strong, but I have also seen firsthand how brutal those who run and are elected are treated. When my ex ran for a tiny city council position I had white suprematists personally threaten me. So I don’t know why any sane person would chose to do it.

My PCP is fantastic. Had a scary medical thing happen and she talked me through choices, scenarios, and just everything. After decades of doctors who seem like they don’t care (including a former cardiologist for my funk heart) this is so refreshing.

Went to a bar for lunch today and was asked what kind of cocktail I wanted, said I was taking a break from drinking, and they just moved right along with the conversation. That is how you do it folks. We’ve come a long way.
