We need deeper leadership in the world. The leadership bar is extremely low, and it is our responsibility to expect more of our leaders, and to develop ourselves into leaders that can move humankind forward. It’s an emergency.

I recently learned that as concern grows over the human cost of AI, a new “The Human Movement” is emerging in response. We definitely need a strong, genuinely focused pro-human mobilization. But is it? Some versions of this early movement seem remarkably uninterested in ALL humans.

We are destroying the environment, affecting people's livelihoods, raising energy costs, making people lose their jobs, launching a techno-fascist surveillance state, but hey, looks like at least we’re winning the AI race 🫩

We are told that AI is here to stay. That we either “ride or die.” That the future is already decided. That our only responsibility is to adapt quickly enough to avoid being left behind. But perhaps we have mistaken the tool for how the story ends… humanasusual.substack.com/p/you-know-w...

This media capture rewards the least mature and most anti-human ways of relating to truth and shared reality. Our current divide is not a battle over “who owns the truth,” but whether we will still be able to engage with reality without it being turned into an identity or a weapon.
