I enjoyed some sushi with Flint raccoon for my birthday yesterday. Some cute bites included what was basically the eggplant equivalent to a hasselback potato, and a tiny pot of chawanmushi, a savoury custard. The sea urchin was bizarre but worth trying.

A simple dinner of half a can of baked beans and a buttermilk biscuit.

Shared some mocktails and fermented veggies with Flint raccoon at Fox Tale for dinner last night. I loved that the fox sando included some sweet potato chunks in it this time.

A deluge rained upon the bay area and I didn't miss an opportunity to enjoy some of my favourite weather. Had some hot cocoa with a large marshmallow afterwards.

South of Twin Peaks is Glen Canyon, a gem in SF. Sutro Tower peers over the north view along the canyon, while the south view opens towards San Bruno Mountain. I especially enjoyed Coyote Crags trail, a rocky one high over the canyon.

Day Lush mountain tops and rows of tea trees, cool breeze and wisps of clouds flowing between peaks, clean air and visibility for miles. Two hours on a bus through winding mountain roads, but you've arrived in tea country.

Night Wispy clouds make way for denser layers as the sky grows dark, mist turns to rain. After hours exploring and hiking, you rest in a tea house and prepare a pot of tea with the pitter patter of rain around you.

I'd thought today it might be interesting to try dressing spaghetti in maple butter, and then I realized that's almost exactly what happens in Elf (the movie from the early 2000s).

Spent the weekend with a sweet racc and visited Bodega Bay for some time outdoors, and local seafood. 🦊🦝

Förra helgen hängde jag med en tvättbjörn i SF Outside 22nd St train station I was delighted to learn of the city's adorable public parklets, which are part of a larger system of shared space usage.

I made myself a little treat and pan-toasted some marshmallows 🦊😋

My favourite cafe, Chromatic Coffee, is inside a warehouse building. I rolled my bike into the hallway outside the cafe for some pictures.

A drive into marine fog with a raccoon pal to see Pigeon Point Lighthouse. The mist dampened clothing (my jeans in particular), and wooden fences felt clammy to the touch. Some old worn VW's fit in with the stained coastal buildings.

Yesterday a raccoon from SF visited and I showed him around. From Mt Umunhum we could see as far as the Marin headlands, with SF and Oakland clearly visible. In Santa Clara's Municipal Rose Garden, I saw a rose that brought to mind blueberry yogurt.

A trip to Humboldt Redwoods State Park with Clostridium on FA on Sunday reminded me how fun it is to be a fox frolicking in the forest, and that I should probably do so more often in the much-more-local Santa Cruz Mountains. One thing I love about the forest is the play of light and shadows up in

Getting this coffee totally has nothing to do with it being named after my species /j It's my first time brewing this Cross Fox Espresso using an AeroPress instead of boiling it as a Turkish coffee. Turkish grind is actually a good way to go with this brewing apparatus.

Along a bike trip around the city I went to Fox Tale in SJ for the first time since FC25. Had a tasty Fox Sando and a mocktail with fermented grand fir syrup 🦊🥪🌲

At around 20.30, the alebrijes light up. Lots of families and other people were out taking pictures with the sculptures.
