It's taken me about 10 years, but after working on this TTRPG for as long, I think I've finally realised that I've just created a card game that masquerades itself as a TTRPG. You basically deck build by choosing your abilities each time you create a character and level up.

Hey! If you're an indigenous Australian who actively engages with their culture, please DM me! I need your help. I have a few questions regarding making an acknowledgement of country for my game and I want to have your personal take and opinion on all of it to make you feel seen and heard.

I can't reveal much, but we have a lot going on behind the scenes currently. We're hoping to have a demo module for our #TTRPG before the end of OZCC Sydney in September, so people can host the game themselves and get a feel for it. I'll also be open to doing in-person sessions with the demo!!

A lot of what people don't talk about in TTRPG development is just how difficult it is to get your game out there for people to be aware of it's existence and how much you need to rely on communities both in person and online to pick up your game and work with you.

I've fixed all of the issues and oddities with the website for my TTRPG's rulebook in a single night just because it all clicked. I added favicons, fixed a HTML issue and now everythings so smooth and easy to navigate around. It's actually fun to be on now The little things really matter the most.

I wish there were more Australian/Aotearoan (NZ) TTRPG game devs/people!!! It's hard to find people on this side of the planet.

A lot of my own personal philosophy in game design for this TTRPG has been a combination of finding people knowledgeable in a topic and valid book sources, performing it myself (usually multiple times) and writing it in a simplified game mechanic. Generating sitemaps to make my search engine function on my website to have my full TTRPG rulebook more easily accessible is actually one of the hardest things ever 😭 i wish i could understand how to code properly!!!!!!

I have a few hot takes, but for the sake of everyone I'll only give a few! - Furries should be allowed more in TTRPG spaces. - Stop using D&D rules (and i mean all of them) to make your system. D&D clones are oversaturated. - Let players be mean to one-another, but make that player accountable.

What would you all like to know about the Metanoia Engine TTRPG? I'll respond to any and all questions and replies about it.

Trying to work my way into the TTRPG space and learn some faces, tell people about my system and what it does... Hard but rewarding work! It's nice meeting all of you for the first time. Hopefully we'll talk lots more later down the road!
