I am so glad Rivian added these 300kW DC Fast chargers in Henderson, NC. The Walmart here is sketchy buy the Ollie's seems a tad safer. Pricey (55¢/kWh) but yo be out of here in 25m with a 90% charge state (started at 18%) is worth it. My long driving day is not over, but kitty transport is done!

I've been driving electric for 10 years today. On this anniversary, I'm transporting a Siamese cat to their forever home. The trip was an excellent opportunity to test my complimentary Hyundai J3400 adapter (I had a Kona before) with my Kia EV6 at the new Ionna rechargery in Winston-Salem, NC.

I look & feel bloated, but this is the most I've deadlifted since early-mid Feb. I'm proud of myself for not giving up, for keeping on in spite of the ennui from a reduced workout. While I may not be ready for the Glizzies competition this year, I'll be a beat at it next year. #thistooshallpass

This is a 2011 Volt with 216k. Its battery still gives 22-24 mile range when warm (35 when new). Owner's put 15k mi on it since getting ~4 years ago, 85% of miles have been off the battery and my friend uses less than 5 tanks of gas per year. He charges from a house outlet & free public chargers.

My recent #Recurrent battery health report on my 2019 #Audi #etron is in. Recurrent's been tracking the battery since I bought it ~Oct 2020. Original pack w/ 2021 SW update that unlocked extra capacity. Real world mixed use is >204, can get 220mi out of it taking US1 thru NC to I20/Columbia, SC.

"EV batteries don't hold up" - let me disprove that w/ a 2017 #Chevy #BoltEV Bought in 2020 (IIRC ~$15k) w/ 23k miles. 2023 @ 77k miles batt. was replaced under recall. New battery has driven 123k miles (41k/yr). Car has driven in/thru 20 US States under own power. He will drive it to 300k miles.

I've been sick & injured (Achilles) for several weeks now. Today was the first workout I've had that felt normal/painless, even with pushing the sled. This week I hit a major milestone: I've lost 100lbs since Jan 2023. I'm still over weight, muscle % not where I want it, but I have reason to smile.

I'll die on the hill that the best place for an EV charging port is center/front of car or left/driver side front fender. I had to reverse the Miata in the drive to plug it in. I should have pulled the Kia farther up in the driveway so the cable could reach the rear driver side port on the miata.

We had a snow/ice event over the weekend. It did not stop me from going to the gym at normal time on Monday.

Dedication or Insanity? You decide. The #EV6 did exceptionally well on the frozen roads. 33f weather, paddle regeneration never worked in snow mode. Wiped blades can't go down due to ice build up. Car never wiggled or felt like it would slide. 10/10 recommend. Now to get my swol on. #gymbro life.

Since it's ill advised to drive my awd hothatch and go to the gym, I will scrape all the cars clean & work on a tech project for the gym instead.
