People who think NPC dialogue is pointless are the people who mash through cutscenes and run directly from objective to objective. No appreciation for world building, characterization, tone setting, or above all else, fun

Demonschool is pretty good so far. Really like the style and the combat But so far the pacing is out of control. Things start happening and just keep going with no time for anything to breathe. Everything is so fast it feels like I am skipping pages in a book

I am getting better at Sektori. Have made it pretty far on the base difficulty and feel like I could go all the way soon

picked Mars First Logistics up again after a while and man that game is basically perfect in what it sets out to do

people get confused about "indie" and "indpependent" like, yeah, sure Expedition 33 is by definition and independent venture but it isn't indie

So Expedition 33 is the obvious front runner for goty, but I am going to put my money on them finally picking an indie title with Silksong. Hades II is going to be overshadowed I think, especially with how people seem to feel about the story.

just started series 14 of Taskmaster and I already love Fern Brady. she is a delight to watch

Episode 2 of Dispatch is a lot more interesting. I like the actual game part, sending them out and making choices. It was pretty easy to avoid the potentially awkward love triangle with BBlazer by not at all being interested in her with how weirdly fast she starts coming on to you.

Iron Pineapple videos are a lot of fun, but what makes them great is his approach to each game. He goes in genuinely wanting to have fun, and finds appreciable qualities in even the roughest games

watching this playstation thing for the 0.05% chance of a new Yoko Taro thing look we got Silksong and somehow brought Metroid Dread into the real world, is it too much to ask for a Drakengard 3 remaster

The argument about Arc Raiders using ai voices or whatever you want to call it is missing the point imo. It's not about how "ethically" it was done. Like, paying someone who sucks at their job is ethical, but the quality still shows in the final work. Synthesized voices just sound bad.

Today has been a good day. Had a nice time in class, did some shopping, and just finished up my final day of helping with this short film and hour early.
