Our Alliance Convening back in September reminded us why the work that we do is so necessary. In her reflection, SeQuoia Kemp spoke to the heart of our work: coming together not only to learn, strategize, & strengthen our policy efforts, but to reaffirm why we do this.

Public health degrees are not secondary. They are not optional. Our work in Black Maternal Health, in community care, & in advancing health equity are ESSENTIAL public health work. The reclassification of public health degrees undermines an entire field we are part of & depend on. We reject this.
