I made a decision on a new mic. Just ordered the HyperX Quadcast 2 for store pickup! I’ve had great experiences with HyperX products in the past, it’s well reviewed, I love the design of this mic, and it was $55 off at Best Buy. Changing my “maybe” on my test stream tonight to a “for sure”!

I missed the state of play so I’m seeing this 2 days later, but I really like this design. It’s super simple, but I appreciate that they changed the button colors on the face and added the red trigger. I don’t need it because I barely touch my PS5… but also I do need it…

What are we doing today, gamers?? I’m working on my PC and Twitch and fiddling with my mic. I spent 30 mins on it last night but it’s still not picking up sound even though drivers are good and I can edit settings on Logitech G Hub. Might do a short test stream tonight with Waterpark Simulator.

Got my new SATA installed and a clean boot of Windows running! I’m really hoping this fixes my mic issues. One step closer to getting back into a regular streaming schedule!

I play a TON of simulators and Waterpark Simulator is one of my favorites right now. It was dropped on Early Access on August 22nd, but its already full of content to keep me engaged and the dev is dropping patches and hotfixes every couple days. I definitely recommend giving this one a try for $13!

It’s genuinely creepy how sophisticated bots have gotten. I imagine they fuck over a ton of people who don’t know how to spot signs of a LLM or who don’t realize people can set up bots that purposefully misspell words and use bad grammar.
