The funny thing about most creative endeavors is that they can change themselves behind your back. You think you know the whole story of a song and then you wake up the next day and you find that it blasted itself back to the early 80's full of synths and drum machines. "Drive" did that to me.

I wrote HILLS after there was a brush fire in the field next to my home. It burned for days. I remember walking through town and being able to see the smoke make trail off from above the dollar store parking lot. For some reason the fire fit the mood of town those days.
