Yesterday, I got my provisional licence at the age of 38. Wild. Spent the day out with my wife for our 20th anniversary as a couple, and 7th anniversary having been married. And for the first time in 16/17 years, I drove to my mum's place and spent some time where I grew up. Wild.

Yesterday, I passed the driving exam to get my provisional licence, having failed the exam prior. Went to get my licence upgraded at the DMV and was turned away until I get my doctor to sign a certificate of fitness due to my T2D. Kinda ruined the moment/day tbh. But hopefully that's done today.

Installed Elder Scrolls Online on my Steam Deck to see how it runs performance wise, because I remembered it's one of the better MMORPGs that plays well with a controller input. I can barely remember how to play lmao.

You know what I really hate most about learning to drive? The individual interpretations and lack of explicit language used from everyone you learn from, including qualified instructors. For something you're supposed to get a minimum of 90% on when tested, it sure makes it really fucking hard.

Turns out my OBD2 can in fact read Transmission error codes (but the menu on the device doesn't show it as a trans fault). Anyway, looks like the speed/turbine input sensor might be the problem. Hopefully it's just a wiring issue. Guess we'll find out on the next episode of Driving Car Z.
