A completely upside-down take from this WaPo op-ed. There 𝑤𝑎𝑠 a consensus for years on trans women in sports — either no male puberty at all, or N years of hormones (typically 2). The issue was driven into the legislatures & courts by the anti-trans right wing, not by the pro forces.

It's absurd that a podcast about gender affirming care for trans youth failed to include a single interview of a current trans youth. And yet, this was considered pulitzer worthy. They were missing the entire subject of the story. Trans people are always spoken about but never spoken to.

I’m not saying this did or did not happen. But the entire article is a CentCom press release; no other sources. It either needs an “allegedly” in the headline or at the very least, an “according to CentCom”, to be proper journalism. @fairmediawatch.bsky.social
