Even tho I have a love hate relationship with AI. One of my favourite use cases for it is to basically get it to pretend it’s Socrates and use the Socratic method to help me examine my thoughts and feelings.

Everyone bangs on about storytelling so off to learn from some of the best in the biz. Heading down to London to attend a workshop with an immersive theatre and branding company.

Back home from #LT25uk it always takes it out of me but such a great experience nevertheless.

Interesting, are we about to see the zeitgeist change. I was thinking about this after watching @mkbhd.com recent video on Apple AI not delivering on any of their promises.

I bought Girl Scout cookies whilst in the US. Today I noticed on the box about how the initiative is actually a way of developing essential skills in girls. Many of the skills are the skills commonly found in L&D programs across orgs. But this is experience based rather than chalk’n’talk.

Anyone use Tik Tok in a disciplined way. I’m curious to try it but afraid the dopamine rush will see me wasting hours on it. I already have to limit my Instagram use.

Why does Workday the HRIS/LMS keep using the likes of Gwen Stefani and Billy Idol in their ads? So many of us are lumbered with their poor excuse of an LMS and they need to funnel some of that $$$ into making their product better.

Everyone keeps asking where the L&D conversation has gone… Aside from LinkedIn, the answer is Slack/private communities A few years ago I may have had a couple on slack. I now have five there and a couple more on different apps and WhatsApp.

Is there anything more disappointing than expecting an English Breakfast brew then tasting that unmistakable floral hit of Earl Grey 😢

A fun little experiment I did at the beginning of the year was write up my goals/habits I wanted to stick to for 2025. I also did. 2024 review then stuck it all into NotebookLM and generated a podcast on them for a quick reminder I can listen to throughout the year to help stay on track.

Inspired by @garybpt.bsky.social I’m going to start my 30 communication on YouTube. 30 days of talking to camera in an effort to improve my talking to camera/presentation skills.

It’s wild how vast YouTube is. There are accounts with millions of subs you completely never even knew existed. I know I’m stating the obvious but occasionally I’ll find a new channel and be like 😮 at how huge they are.

I love these alternate viewpoints on the current AI hype cycle.

Just finished watching Arcane on Netflix and it’s one of the best series I’ve seen in a while. The story telling, the world building, the animation, even the music is fantastic. It’s so well written.

Facebook reminded me of a post from 2009. I wonder if Gen Z will cringe at their past Tik Toks the way millennials cringe looking back at our Facebook posts from the 00s.

I overheard someone say they don’t ‘feel’ Christmassy in the work cafe on Friday. This made me ponder… what makes you feel Christmassy?

Just scoffed my first mince pie of the year. I’m not a massive mince pie fan tbh but it had to be done.

Thought the LinkedIn Rewind was from LinkedIn but it’s from a third party. Reminds me of those Russian face tune apps that were mining data.
