In some ways, nothing here is that surprising. It echoes what Jose and Conte both implied. Maybe things are slightly different now without Levy and there will be less insistence on the wage structure. Fundamentally the footballing department needs to be run so much better than it ever has been

Romero’s issue isn’t that he’s hotheaded or whatever. That red & the Chelsea one are not acts of violence. It’s coming from an element of impatience and trying to force progression. If you put him in a side where the identity is constantly about ‘winning duels’ he is going to get sent off more

We rarely know much about these things, but Rafi is meant to be good. Biggest issue still seems to be Lange's inconsistent talent identification of players and managers, but I personally welcome having another person in the room who might pop up and say 'how about signing someone who can pass?'

Benching the progressive passer convo for a moment, I do think Spurs need to look at RW with Kudus and Kulusevski still out for a while Going into next season with Tel, Odobert, Xavi, Maddison, Kulusevski, Akliouche and Kudus would be extremely good technical depth

Very enjoyable 2nd half (all things considered). Tel making big strides. Odobert and Xavi also played well. Palhinha blood and thunder. I personally think a lot of the second half impetus came from Ben Davies. Would keep him in the starting XI as Destiny is eased back

I see it as a choice between these set ups. Bissouma is likely to be the next person back and available or Sarr depending on AFCON result. Maybe Udogie soon after. Makes signing 1 left-back a more efficient signing than another attacker

Kudus out until April. Kulusevski probably 2 months away. No Bergvall, Bentancur, Solanke, Sarr, Bissouma or Maddison. I'm not a fan of the formation but I think it Spurs should maybe just utilise a 3-4-3 for a bit. (I don't think it can be much worse than it currently is already)

It seems Spurs want to go back for Savinho, especially if Semenyo goes to City. It's not a priority and he isn't in the best form, but I think it shouldn't be viewed as a bad signing. He is a very talented player. However, I think at least two of Odobert, Tel, Moore and Yang will struggle to develop
