#atproto folks, do you expect paid, content-agnostic PDS services to emerge at some point? I don't think anyone expects self-hosting to become widespread, and I don't understand why app-specific PDS hosts have an incentive to store content in *any* lexicon long term.

I know people love to donate goods, it feels concrete and satisfying, but a food bank can make that $2 or $5 go soooo much further than you can. Just donate the cash. And, then they also don't need to assign staff to sort, manage, and figure out how to distribute the random donations.
