Stopped on my #run this morning to watch this beautiful #heron at the side of the #Thames. It was perfectly happy for me to take photos, and only decided to move on when a dog trotted by (although the dog showed no interest whatsoever in the heron 🙂)

Today's #run took me past the Bull at Sonning. Apparently it is owned by St Andrew's Church who rent it to Fullers. Turned away yesterday when I went to give blood plasma. Low iron levels. They've recommended I see my GP and banned me donating for 6 months. 😞 Might be why my runs seem harder work. Well, that's my excuse anyway 🤣 On the plus side my knee held up okay 👍 and the sun shone 🌞 🙂 #running #ukrunchat

After only a handful of runs since the start of the year, all uncomfortable, I decided attempting the Wokingham HM today was foolhardy. I took the sensible option and gave it a miss 😞. I did try out my knee on a slow 8km around the local park. It wasn't pain-free but tolerable. #running #ukruncgat

Knee is playing up again. 😞 Disappointing. Looks like next weeks HM is off 😭. Anyone who complains that a treadmill is boring should try an hour on an elliptical trainer! Managed a couple of 1 hour sessions at the gym and it's the most mind numbing experience possible. 🥱 #running #ukrunchat

The Wokingham HM is only a couple of weeks away and not having been able to run in Jan, I needed to prove my knee was fit enough for a longer run. So I kept adding bits until I'd managed more than 10 miles this morning. A few twinges and aches but all seems okay 👍🙂. #running (photos are Karen's)

I volunteer for the National Trust. This week I cleaned this Electrolier (photo from the NT Collection catalogue). It's a delicate process. Taking it down piece by piece and reassembling it while up a step ladder was a little stressful! 🙂 (an Electrolier is apparently an electric Chandelier 😁)

Pilates class was cancelled this morning, so I had the chance to do a slightly longer run. My knee is holding up pretty well. It's more uncomfortable when I walk than when I run. So there's still an outside chance of me #running the Wokingham HM in a couple of weeks time. 🙂

New #running shoes arrived so I decided it was time to test them and my dodgy knee with a steady pace short run. Shoes were excellent, knee was less so but manageable. I just need to see how it feels in the morning. 😟 There's not much colour out there, except for a few primroses making an effort. 🙂

I spent the morning volunteering for the NT at #GreysCourt cleaning some of the ceramics collection. Some items were made in Zurich others in Chelsea. Most date from around 1760. Still no #running (knee problems) but if my new running shoes arrive tomorrow I may have to try them regardless..🙂
