San Diego FC's playoff run has been messing up my travel plans but it will be worth it if they can win this weekend.

What a meltdown by SDFC. Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Last week I visited the ghost town of Belmont in Nevada, maybe the best preserved ghost town in the state, and a place that is showing signs of new life.

Once Upon a Time in the West, in my opinion, is one of the greatest movies ever made. Claudia Cardinale was a major part of why. RIP.

Came across what I can only guess is Big Boy's British cousin while in Bath. Does anyone know the story behind this guy?

Made it to the other side of that ley line from this week's video, and I'm still not sure about any special energies... Somehow we brought the heat with us, though. Sorry about that England.

This airport gift shop gets an A+ for product placement, but I have to wonder why there are multiple Jaws covers currently on the newsstand in 2025.

What it looked like crossing the desert between El Centro in Yuma in the 1920s. There was still a wooden plank road across the Algodones Dunes for part of the route until 1926.

Rattlesnakes emerge from viral βmega denβ of 2,000 rattlesnakes in Colorado
The viral livestream of thousands of rattlesnakes in a secret location in Colorado captured some rattlesnakes starting to appear from their "mega den" again.

I just saw the news that Buc-ees is opening a location in Goodyear, AZ in summer 2026. I still haven't been to one yet, but I guess it wont be too long either way.

Can't believe it's been 2069 years since Julius Caesar was assassinated. Doesn't seem like that long ago... Took this picture of the spot it happened in 2023.

The University of Arizona in Tucson has a tree that is out of this world. On 1971βs Apollo 14 moon mission, astronaut Stuart Roosa brought over a hundred seeds with him. These seeds orbited the moon, and when they came back to Earth, they were sent all over the world.

A few days ago, I was at San Diego's Mt. Hope Cemetery and happened to see that Raymond Chandler, the author of the Phillip Marlowe books, is buried there. I had no idea he had any connection to San Diego, but I guess he moved to La Jolla in 1946.

We visited the Magic Castle in Hollywood today. It was a really fun experience but making it through the traffic in LA is always the real trick.

I'm hearing good things about American Primeval (especially since it's leading a lot of people to the video I did on the Mountain Meadows Massacre site), but I'm behind on so many shows. Is American Primeval worth watching over 1923?

Peter Lebeck tree at Fort Tejon. Not much is known about Lebeck, other than he was killed by a bear and buried by this tree in 1837.

Some cool neon at Puerta del Sol in Madrid. Picture taken last week. While I was there, they were setting up all the Christmas lights and wish we could have been there to see them lit up.
