Who's ready to boycott some companies?! It makes a difference when we are thoughtful consumers. When we boycott together, we send a message to companies and their leadership about what we value and what we find unacceptable. Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday, don't buy from Target, Amazon, Home Depot.

Obama recently surprised some Wisconsin veterans! We're also thinking of veterans today -- what we ask of our military members and what we owe them in return. We're also listening to those speaking out in peaceful protests around the country today. Veterans' stories and perspectives are vital.

This #VeteransDay, our gratitude is with all who served, and our hearts are with the families of the fallen. We honor their sacrifice not just with words, but with action. That means fighting to protect the benefits they were promised and committing to end #ForeverWars.

Good news: in recent weeks increased numbers of people have been donating to food banks and collecting food for neighbors. And a big story in our local news is that generous donors Karen and Dick Vaughn just donated $3.5 million to the Waukesha County food pantry. A reminder -- so many people care!
