One of the reasons the basics keep getting left behind is because those in power might think security is important but they don’t value it, no matter what they say. When you *Value* something you do what needs to be done to protect it. Value remains on revenue+profit until you get pwnd.

Prediction: Folks start using AI to help with their work, which they’ll be incentivised for. Which in turn leads to fewer colleague / peer interactions for support and guidance. Which in turn will lead to more silos. Soon your appraisal and 360s will be with an AI agent.
