A comfortable 14°C with no wind after torrential rain last night. 😄

Rather a damp start to October. Back at Talacre with the dog, somewhat more basic accommodation than when we were last here a month ago but this is £30 a night compared with £130 a night.

Apologies for the poor picture, max zoom on my phone. This little chap posed for five minutes during this morning’s 🐾 before diving in and catching then returning to his post and eating his breakfast. First time I’ve seen that, I feel I have been treated by nature.

All wired up for my 72 hour ECG, technician laughed when I told him I couldn’t keep the recorder in a pocket ‘cos I don’t wear clothes most of the time😂

Didn’t see the little feller when I went to clean the pump in the wildlife pond and destroyed her web. It took her 30’ to collect all the damaged silk and make a new web. Nature is amazing😄 🕷️

Time to dead head and clear the first sowing of runners away. Amazed how many🐞 were hiding in the bean vines, did my best to rescue them all, left the recycling bin open in the hope that those I’ve missed will crawl out 🙏

If you’re going to get soaked to the skin why not just soak the skin you’re in? I had planned a skinny dip but despite it being high tide the sea is not to be seen😂 According to a twitcher we met high tide is only 6 metres today, needs 8 to get right in🤷‍♂️

Car wash Saturday, the Agila scrubs up well, the dearest has owned it for 23 years, in that time it’s only cost us a water pump, front shockers and rear suspension arms, plus routine servicing of course😄
