Our #STS book on Bigfooting has moved to production. Hopefully be ready for Christmas.

Finally submitted the manuscript written with Andrew Bartlett. This is a Science and Technology Studies (STS) analysis of Bigfooting. It draws on 166 interviews and hopefully contributes to the sociology of mystery too.

So, I started this project with a lot more hair on my head and no kids at the time, and now it is to be submitted this week with 2 children and with only hair on chin.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

What a week: letter from Cardiff Uni saying job is under threat of redundancy - like most academics at work. Cannot get access our money in Barclays with no explanation. Textbook published. France 43, Wales NIL.

Completely overshadowed by the news coming out of my uni but copies of the textbook I co-authored came earlier this week

First two lectures on the new module ‘Monsters and Mysteries’ this week. The first on the seven theses of Monster, the second on cryptozoology, cryptids and boundary work.
