1.7 billion children living without access to safe surgery in 2025 is incomprehensible to us. 🤯 We won't stand around and let children suffer from conditions that can be cured on an operating table. ❌ ✊ Access to surgery is a human right. We exist to make that happen.

Global health was failing. ❌ In 2018, our founders Garreth and Nicola Wood took action. 💪 Now, with 97 paediatric operating rooms, they've enabled over 500,000 life-changing surgeries for children in the world's lowest-resource countries. 🌎 🙌 We're just getting started.

Did you know: more children die from a lack of access to safe surgery than they from HIV, TB and Malaria - combined. We exist to put an end to that. Kids Operating Room's work now facilitates more than 200,000 operations each YEAR for children in the lowest-resource settings imaginable. 💙

Completely transformed. 🤩 Our new paediatric operating room in Harare, Zimbabwe, is unrecognisable. 🙌 Zimbabwe faces limited resources and high child mortality rates. This theatre changes that. Local surgeons now have the tools to save countless children's lives. 💙
