A little gift for @ashacadence.bsky.social. There is much cuteness happening in the background while we write about these two, but I picked uh, this, as their first post because it's me. At some point, I will draw something "just" cute of them. Probably. Enjoy some sizedif plant bondage :D

A Sören V2 appears. I did just post his V1 sheet a month ago, but he's had a few cosmetic changes as we've been creating stuff together. Easier to put those in a sheet than give my artist friends several drawings + text. Sören is paired with @ashacadence.bsky.social 's cute dryad.

+Horse. Nikola has been one of my characters since 2012; so far, the list of who I plan to "bring back" is very short, but I'm keeping all three of my horses, of course. He had a little cosmetic update for this new art chapter, and is now cremello instead of albino. I have a type, as you can see vv;

Another piece of Raja's sheet, hands (and an eyeball), woo. Ironically enough the last time I posted a ref WIP for him, like 6 years ago?, it was the sketch of his finger with a jeweled cap on the right. Raja has very pretty hands. :)

Cow lays the most beautiful perfectly clean brown eggs. Sometimes I get a "party surprise," and they're speckled in shades of darker brown (Same hen, pullets don't lay yet). Anyway, dogs were happy today since I had two extra eggs that didn't fit in the carton, and they got one each for breakfast.

Everytime you think "ah finally, a good use for AI", you should step back and realize that such a response is exactly the kind of wedge corpos are trying to drive between laborers Everyone's expertise and craft is "finally a good use for AI" to those outside the field. Learn solidarity please

A character I'm introducing this year as part of a sidequest with @ashacadence.bsky.social. Sören was paired blindly with her Onthea; we designed both of them without any info to start, and will figure out the rest now that we know what each other's characters look like.

I love my friends. @ashacadence.bsky.social and I are doing some art stuff together but I can't spoil my side so I just keep sending her teasers that don't actually show her anything.

Our wee chicklets are doing good. The flock is integrated and doing chicken things together; they're especially cute when they pile for a dust bath.

You guys on here also get a zoom of his face and dye patterns because they're pretty, and of course, not really visible. But that's what I do, make tiny things on huge canvases since c. 2000-teens :}< Enjoy Raja in pastels ~ it's almost Spring

One of my favorite parts to draw on Raja has always been his stupid scutes. I've never really settled on a super consistent way of doing it, other than they have a point on the center, but they're just so flexible and twisty *u*

Sketches some blobby shapes, picked a shape to clean, then changed it anyway, but it's a prettier shape 🤍

Finally kicked the chicklings out of the house only to pick up three more. Is this maths yet?

This is Cow (named after the 🍄), the chicken we found hiding from hawks in the woods behind our house. Since no one claimed Cow, we built her a house, raised some chicks to give her a flock... and that is how we "accidentally" chickens. @takoma.bsky.social
