Looking forward to two weeks sailing on Lake Solent arriving on 26/09/2025. This is planned to be a hard technical trip so little nude sailing! Given the recent drop in temprature a that might be good thing.

The Vernal Equninox is at 18:16 UTC today. The weather in the UK has been its usual changeable at this time of year. I am keeping the boat on the water this winter and hoping to get some good sailing in, but will be dressed in at least four layers and not my usual lifejacket, shoes and a smile. 😁

Back from a few days sailing. 10 knots one minute then 35 the next. It is a funny time of year.

Gosh we have been lucky. A public holiday weekend in my part of the world and all three days were sunrise to sunset sunshine.

After a cool start Friday turned out better than forecast and I was able to get an hour sunbathing in the cockpit. Lets see what the weekend brings. It is always a case of grab the sun when you can at this time of year.

The chart table door removed as it is about to be varnished. Photography in a boat cabin is difficult because of all the light sources.

Spent the night onboard. Woke to some strange sounds only to find the local rowing club having an early morning work out. Thankfully, the windows are high and I spaired them some blushes.

Woke this morning to the first autuminal nip in the air and swallows lined up on the phone wires. Autum is on its way.

As I brought the dinghy ashore spotted a pair of swans and seven large signets. They have ad a busy summer.

Lovely to see a couple in the anchorage strip off and go for a swim round their boat before climbing back on board, toweling dry and getting dressed. Nobody batted an eye lid and we quietly went, YAY.
