Picked up 2 new releases (and 1 not so new) today from this awesome local bookstore. Well, kind of local. And best of all, they are super LGBTQ friendly! While I love supporting places like these, it is a lot more expensive. But I really hate giving money to billionaires.

It’s my wedding anniversary today. 12 years. I don’t think we’ve ever done anything special on our anniversary. Today’s no exception. I’m off to work here soon. I don’t really even care anymore.

Went out to launch some rockets with the kids. We have 2 rockets that we’ve had for several years now. Got about 6 launches in and we lost one to a neighbors tree. The next launch, we lost the last one in the neighbors gutter (2 story house). Guess we are done launching rockets for today.

Some work around the house before my call to work. Stopped and got some Cava on the way in. Made it as spicy as they can and it was really good.

A couple errands, lunch with my mom and then help her get some groceries. That last bit is always a chore especially since today they didn’t have any mobility scooters for her. I should just take her list and get the stuff myself. Oh, and she “he’d” me too. Thanks ma.

Made Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches tonight. Used the flat top grill. Made short work of the actual cooking. But there was a lot of prep to pull this off. Served with some fries and onion rings from the air fryer.

Came in from working outside and tried (and failed) not to disturb the sleepy kitty. Thankfully she went back to snoozing pretty quickly.

Just a girl and her tractor. We had over 4” of rain last weekend and it washed out a spot in my mom’s driveway. Loaded up Green Bean and went to take care of it. It’s probably funny that it took longer to get everything out and loaded up than to actually fix the driveway.

I didn’t go anywhere today. I didn’t even get showered and dressed until after 10. I didn’t get home until almost 2, though. Stayed around the house and did some yard work. Pulled out a tree stump and cleaned out a ditch.

The warnings expired and it’s gone just south of us. We’re ok. We got a lot of rain and hail but I don’t think we got any damage.

Oki guess it’s not going north of us. I am officially in a tornado warning.

Severe weather coming. Tornado warning west of us. I think it’ll stay west/north of us. I hope.

Had electrolysis today. First of all, owww! Secondly, got to talking about being trans and hair removal and gaining hair in places previously lost. Mentioned that I always wear hair bands due to a receded hair line. She then offered to bring me a ton of her old hair bands next time I’m in! Woo-hoo!

I hate being in a marriage without any love or intimacy. It’s like living with a friend. That really sucks when you are in desperate need of some cuddles. I’m in desperate need of some cuddles. Virtual hugs, while appreciative, just don’t cut it.

Went to the big green tractor store today. Is it a bad sign that both ladies behind the parts counter know who I am? Then swing by a garden store and got some new bushes for the side of our patio. Got them planted when I got back home. Got my hands really dirty.

First time seeing a delivery robot irl. It tried to go right through the center of a percussion performance but they picked it up and carried it around. I’m sure it’ll be back shortly.

Was at my mom’s in her back yard while her dog was out there. The dog was jumping around and happily playing. I’m pretty sure I heard my mom yell to the dog to “get her!” Even though she deadnamed me at the store, I guess I’ll still take this for a win.

Looks like we might get some severe weather tonight.

Had to run to John Deere today to buy a part for my tractor. Not the lawn and garden type store but the combines and big tractor type of store. Had my favorite parts person. She’s always so nice! They didn’t have my part so I’ll have to go back next week and see her again!

Turning in for the night and had to take a picture of our sleeping kitty. This one got out today. She managed to open the screen door on our sliding glass door and go exploring. I don’t know how long she was out but thankfully I found her. Gave me a big fright!

Probably the first was Tetris on the OG Gameboy. Pitfall and DigDug on the Atari 2600. Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt on the NES. Sonic on the Sega Genesis. And I’ll often break out my Gameboy Advance SP Retro and play Super Mario 3.

Did annual maintenance on some of my equipment today. Got the zero turn mower taken care of and also my little tractor. Don’t mind the lack of makeup.

Had some extra chicken thighs so I decided to make home made fried chicken sandwiches. Was a lot of work but they were pretty good!

It was gonna be pretty hot today, so today’s #OOTD was a spaghetti strap maxi dress. Probably should have went with a knee length but oh well. It was 87° today.

Was getting some bug spray at Lowe’s today when a young man walked past me and commented that he really liked my earrings! I smiled and said thank you! They are a pair of Star Trek deltas with a pink flower and a green leaf. Picked these up a while ago on Etsy. One of my favorite pairs.

Felt cute. Probably won’t delete later.

Pretty sure I just saw the Libyans at Lowe’s.

Eeked out some me time today. Ran to the farm store to get a 23kg bag of bird seed. Then to the grocery store to get some pop on sale for my mom and also some water. Crammed 10 12 can packs and 3 42 bottle cases of water along with the bird seed into the back of a Mini Cooper.

I love space and space exploration and all that. I should be really excited about the Artemis mission. But I’m having a really hard time getting excited about anything this country is sponsoring.

It’s seemed lately that my “me time” days are fewer and farther between. This makes Libby sad. Had some time today so I’m gonna take advantage of it. Took this selfie before I left the house and it appears I forgot my headband. Still posting it. Princess Donut thinks it’s an outrage though.

Welp, another TDOV and y’all are out there slaying it and here I am in the closet like a fucking coward. And nothing is gonna change.

At work when I looked over and saw diesel at the local Loves was $4.93/gallon. Looked over again about 30 minutes later and saw it was now 5.07/gallon. Are we winning yet? Are we great yet? It might be cheaper now to drive my gas truck vs my diesel Jetta. I hate this timeline.
