A month or so ago, I came across a post by another trans person in W KS about them not being able to get an appointment anywhere near them. They were trying for Denver. I suggested where I go (KU Med) and that they do tele health. Well, they messaged me today and said they just had their 1st appt!

When someone tries telling me I must not be a real Star Trek fan.

It is crazy cold and windy outside right now. I’ve been out and it was terrible. 1/10, would not recommend.

@pluto.tv had dedicated channels for Deep Space Nine and Voyager and The Original Series and The Next Generation shared time on their own. I’ve just discovered that TNG and TOS and Enterprise now have their own dedicated channels! It’s a nice free way to get your Star Trek fix.

After my surgery consult, I had an hour long laser session. Legs, feet, lower back and butt. Nothing like having the tech getting every last hair back there. Already have an appointment for the bikini area. That’ll be fun! Back home now, snuggling with the kitty.

Just had my orchi consult. Aside from technical difficulties with my laptop and the video call, it was pretty easy. Will have to do an in person consult before I schedule it too. Unfortunately, I did lie a bit to them. When asked how long I’ve lived as me, I said I didn’t know 🧵

First mammogram scheduled! I’m pretty much equal parts nervous/excited/terrified!

I am actually having a good day so far. I haven’t done a whole bunch (Aldi, Sam’s and Dillons for a few groceries) but I am in a good mood. Had a really tough but caring talk with a friend last night and it’s my off days so it’s a day for me. And damn I do look good! Be jealous and give head pats!

You know that scene is Star Trek First Contact when the Borg Queen gets assembled and the clamps grab and stretch her skin? That’s exactly how I feel when I pick up our kitten.

Just got a text reminder for my orchi consult for tomorrow. In it, they say the standard stuff for reminders but one kind of stands out to me. I’m not allowed to operate heavy machinery during the appointment. (It’s a tele visit). I kinda want to go sit in an excavator during the appointment now.

Had my annual hrt checkup last week. I guess I’ve leveled up far enough that I have to go get my first mammogram!

Went to a welcome to music thing for 5th graders at our high school. My oldest is in 5th grade. She’ll have to choose either choir, orchestra or band for their music class for next year. I was in band. So was the wife. Saw this picture on the wall in the band room. I’m in there somewhere.

A neighbor called me tonight. She needed help taking her trash can down to the end of her driveway. Her husband has terminal cancer so she’s having a rough go of things. I like to check in on her to make sure they don’t need any help. So I was very happy to go help her tonight.

My train is broken. One of the axles on our lead locomotive isn’t rolling anymore. They are sending a manger to look at it. That’s gonna do a whole lot of good. /s

Downloaded some alternate Lego instructions to turn a Millennium Falcon into the Serenity from Firefly. I can print them at home in black and white but color would be so much better. Uploaded the file to print at FedEx and almost popped my panties when I saw the price. $142! Nope!

What was your #childhoodcinema? We had 2 that we went to often. I saw a lot of movies over the summer. They had a bunch of $1 movies for kids during the summer. The first one was Gage 4 Theaters. It’s now a church The second was Fox 4 Theaters. It’s now vacant and run down.

Breakfast today. Chicken sausage links, eggs over easy, tater tots, tomatoes, and some toast. Pretty good if I don’t say so myself!

Got the girls off the bus after school took them to piano lessons. Then back home to make a quick dinner. Chicken burgers and fries. Everybody got them how they wanted them. Even put them in the little baskets with wax paper and a fancy toothpick. The girls love it when I use the baskets.

Lunch today with the neighbors. Met at our fairly recently opened Cava. Have to say u like it a lot. And it works well for her being vegan. Got complimented on my earrings by one of the employees. That always makes me smile, especially considering what my earrings are.

A commemorative magnet. Always gotta get the magnet. How are people supposed to know if you’ve actually been to a place of you don’t display the magnet on your fridge! FYI: I need a bigger fridge.

HRT consult, go!

Another day for me today. Started off with some breakfast. Chicken sausage links, eggs over medium (went too far for over easy) and tater tots (no hash browns). Was pretty good. Now have to get ready as I have my hrt follow up at 9:30 and electrolysis at 11. Then relax for the rest of the day.

The thing that I’ve owned the longest is my very first stuffed animal. It’s a Fisher Price bear called Freddy Bear. Have had it 47 years now. Now, the actually oldest thing I own is probably an antique bed built by my great grandfather in the 1890’s. I had to have a custom mattress made for it,

Anyway, aside from getting deadnamed, it’s so great being me! Have total “mom mode” activated today. Rocking my Bluey t shirt!

It’s been since mid December since I’ve had any time to be me. Finally managed some time today. First stop, the hospital for labs. I have my hrt appointment Thursday. And pretty much right off the bat, I got deadnamed by intake. Even though my preferred name was written right across the sheet.

Well, today’s my birthday ( the 4th). The world is burning. I’m still in the closet. I’m gaining weight again. And I’m so very alone. I fucking hate this life.

She asked me today what I wanted for Christmas. Even if she ordered something today, I doubt it’d make it in time. Besides, I don’t want anything from her. Well, I do, but she’ll never give me that. We honestly haven’t really exchanged gifts for a long time. That’s a long story right there.

Went out to lunch with my mom. First choice was really busy. With a bunch of company trucks from the company I work for. Mentioned to my mom that we should go somewhere else. She asked if I’d know anyone there. I said possibly and then she realized the problem. Im dressed cute af and not out at work

Felt cute. No chance in hell I’m deleting later!

Ever so tired that you’re too tired to go to bed? Got home at 2 am after working 13 1/2 hours. Put my lunch box away and laid down on the couch. Feel asleep almost instantly. Woke up about an hour later. Out of my work clothes and into something more comfy and in bed now.

Wrote a big long post about going to the store with the fam and I just don’t even have the energy to post it. Just so much to unpack on going with her vs me just doing it by myself. The resentment is whats gonna kill me. That and having to hide to make her comfortable. I dont want to do this anymore

The other day, we went to a reception at our zoo, holiday light display. They were handing out cookies and hot drinks. I made my way through the line and got my cookies. I was eating one when they asked if I wanted coffee, tea or cocoa. I had a cookie on my mouth so couldn’t answer verbally.

Kitty is sleeping on me. She’s still sneezy. I hope she gets better. I hate seeing her like this.

Made a chicken stir fry for dinner tonight. Nothing too complicated. Frozen stir fry veggies from Aldi. Frozen chicken breast bites. Minute rice. Mixed all together with some onions and a scrambled egg. I tend to make mine spicy. My nose is running right now. Was pretty good!
