I am a fucking mess right now. I can barely see through the tears in my eyes. And that’s not hyperbole either. I’ve been ugly crying for 10 minutes now. My makeups all fucked. I’ve got snot all over. I don’t want to do this anymore. Fuck. Just fuck.

I was thinking last night. Because I tend to overthink absolutely everything. If my friends said she wanted to meet but couldn’t due to a scheduling conflict, I think I would have been just as devastated as if she said no to begin with.

Said breakfast. Eggs over easy, sausage links, tater tots because I’m out of hash browns, grilled tomatoes and some sourdough toast. This is so good!

The last day to be me for a while. Just woke up. Making breakfast. Yes, I’m still wearing the same tank top from yesterday. This weekend was great. I haven’t crashed yet. The family will be home about 6 so it’s inevitable.

Meeting my friend was amazing. I didn’t want the experience to end. Now that it’s over, I need to temper my expectations. I tend to get overly attached. It’s probably because I’m so alone that I crave any human companionship. Being myself has been so euphoric. I fear I’m going to crash soon.

After a wonderful day in Lawrence, had to come back home to Topeka. Stopped by the library to pick up a hold. Then on the way home, decided to go for a spin around the zoo. We have a membership, so entry is free. Hit 9k steps today. I’d feel fine except for the little blister on the side of a toe ☹️

Also, walking around downtown Lawrence, pretty sure I spotted 2 other trans people. A trans femme and a trans masc. it is such a great town.

Notice her earrings. I gave her a pair of the Lego pride earrings. So was so happy and put them on immediately! I now need to make a trans pair for her neighbor. A lesbian pair for her daughter. Guess I’ll have to get some more pieces.

We walked out together and hugged goodbye. I insisted on a picture before we left. I can’t believe how great a day this has been.

Met my friend at Free State Brewery. I was so nervous! But I shouldn’t have been. She was amazing! We sat and talked for over 2 hours while we ate. I did trauma dump and cry a little bit. She listened to everything I said. She was so supportive and told me I shouldn’t have been scared to reach out.

Went to the Farmer Market in LFK. A lot of local vendors selling everything from fresh flowers to vegetables to honey to crafts to cinnamon rolls to brisket sandwiches and fresh wine. I got weak and bought some banana bread, a cinnamon roll and a peanut butter bar.

Today Im going to meet someone I went to HS with as the true me. We weren’t really friends in school. She was kids popular. She knows about me as she is one of the handful of people I came out to but lost contact with when I deleted FB. I thought way too long on what to wear. This is what Ive chosen

I made a thing! Ordered some specific Lego pieces and put together some Lego pride earrings. Already have several pairs I’m going to gift to my friends. Maybe I should sell them on Etsy? Will have to add some more of the other color patterns for the rest of the Alphabet Mafia.

So, I wasn’t gonna let last night get me down. I headed to KC and went to a resale Lego store. So many cool sets they had. New and old. I didn’t buy anything. Headed over to Oak Park Mall and went to Torrid, Lane Bryant and the actual Lego store. Spent way too much at Torrid.

Well regardless of my emotional state, I have to keep going. I don’t want to waste my 2 days to be me. I’ve already been out on a grocery run. Breakfast was made and eaten. Electrolysis in about 30 minutes. Then off to Kansas City for at least some window shopping. Books, clothing and Lego.

Cried myself to sleep last night. Still no word from that trans support group. I guess they don’t want me to join. I’m all alone. More so than any time before. I did have a pretty intimate t4t dream last night, though. So there is that. I think I’m just gonna crawl in a hole

They emailed back! I gave them some info and they said they’d get back to me with the meeting location. I really want to go. But I am really scared, too. I have a feeling that I’m gonna cry if I start sharing my story.

Tomorrow morning, the wife and the oldest are going on a church trip to Colorado. The youngest is going to stay with the in laws. I’m gonna be able to be myself until Sunday night. And I’ll be off Thursday evening u til Saturday evening, probably through to Sunday. Now. What to do?

Had picked up a pride rainbow strap to replace the original one on my purse a couple weeks ago. Was at HyVee (local grocery chain) today and the cashier wished me a happy pride month. Definitely put a smile on my face.

Doing some vacation planning and I looked up directions for the route I wanted to take. It said “tolls required”. I was like, where? That’s weird. The tolls are on I-70 between Topeka and Kansas City. The highway that I take all the damn time. Fuck me.

Went out to a couple places with the family. Coming home, I backed my truck into our driveway and right into my car. It got surprisingly little damage. And the truck is unharmed. I just feel so stupid. We put away all the groceries and I went to my basement hideaway and am now crying. Fuck fuck fuck

I’ve been having a tough time lately. Too much to really do it justice here. But needless to say, I’ve needed something good. Ran something over to my mom’s today and she told me that she really liked my dress! Shes never done that and even one time mentioned I looked pregnant.

Family outing to the Sunset Zoo in MHK. Stopped for some rolled ice cream after. Was really good, but expensive. They had a but of post it art by customers left on the wall. Decided to leave up some of my own.

I may not have a whole bunch of skills, but something I can do very well? I can back a trailer. I’m very good at it actually. I learned when I got my first trailer in 2003 and then just drove around it for a month solid. I had to get good or I was gonna break it.

Well, showered and ready for bed. Misty had to say goodnight before she went to sleep with the girls. Off to Manhattan tomorrow (not that one, the other one. The Little Apple). Going to go to the zoo. And out for something special for lunch/dinner. Not sure what yet though.

So, after lunch, I picked up a trailer from the FIL, picked up a load of topsoil for me and took it home. Went out and got a load of rock for my mom’s driveway, and then got one more for me. Lastly, loaded up some trees and took them to the tree dump.

Half day to be me. Had to do some stuff with the FIL in the PM but had all morning for me. Ran to a couple stores to get groceries for the next week. Did an Amazon return for the wife. And then did some retail therapy for me. Picked up a new dress, a tank top and a comfy night gown.

Wife stopped to put gas in her van on her way home from work today. She said she spent over $70 to fill it up and that she’s never spent that much before. I just stared at her. I wanted to say so much but I bit my tongue. For context, she voted for this.

More me time gardening today. I know this corner doesn’t look like much but it took all day. Planted the bush. Removed the old lattice and replaced with new. Backed it with wire so the rabbits don’t get under the porch. And then soaked everything in. I am pooped.
