When Nugget had to spend last weekend at the ER vet he came home with an… unfortunate… haircut. The other cats are treating him like the weird kid in school. They’re ridiculous.

I never agreed to be on the mad king’s reality show

So Nugget had to go back to the vet today. He hadn’t eaten or drank anything since coming home from the ER vet Sunday night. Sub Q fluids, anti nausea meds and an antibiotic. Two hours later he ate a squeezy treat. Hopefully he’ll forgive me someday, lol.

Last update for now: ER vet called and said Nugget was doing well enough to be discharged early. We went and got him about 10:00pm. Now he’s under the bed and not speaking to me. I’m sorry little one but all of it was for your own good.

I’m atheist but not immune to discount, boneless leg of lamb. Hope everyone has a nice meal today if you wish.

The ER vet where Nugget is being cared for is excellent but they’re only open nights and weekends. That means I have to pick him up at 7:00am tomorrow. They’re 20 minutes away and I’ll need to feed everyone else before I leave. Then bring him home and get to work. My time anxiety has begun.

Morning update: talked to Nugget’s night nurse and he did great, totally clear pee, ate food and Churus like it’s his job. He gets a ⭐️ I’m relieved 😌

Soooo, Nugget has a partial urinary blockage (see previous post) and will have to stay at the emergency vet for two nights for a catheter and flush. I feel so bad for him… and my credit card. #catsofbluesky
