As a wildlife photographer I’ve always been about patience. Waiting for the right moment, the right light. But with @catbardot30 she knows precisely how she looks in the light, and then twists it to suit her. It’s about keeping up. She’s got this energy that I can’t predict, and that’s exciting.

@bellatrixortreat.bsky.social lay barefoot in the moss, her skin kissed by sunlight filtering through the trees. There was no tension in her stance-no shame, no fear-only presence, as if she had always been part of this place, carved from the same stone beneath her. She WAS the landscape.

Got out on Saturday night and shot some Aurora near the Knik Glacier. Wanted to stay longer as the show was just starting to get good around midnight, but too many others showed up casting head/tail lights and I was Uber tired. So will have to do a longer shoot next time. #aurora #timelapse

Beached on a sandbar in Inverness, California, the abandoned Point Reyes Boat would seem to be little more than a large piece of detritus littering an otherwise protected wetland. To me it was an amazing subject for a nighttime star streak image on a full moon night.

I found a new way to stop a sled dog team using my face as an anchor. Dogs were amped this morning and we took the turn a bit too fast. But I slammed my face into a tree and stopped the sled. Who says I don’t bleed for my art? #uglydogs
