my top 10 films of the year. this time for every 50 movies watched, i watched a prison film. i saw 93 films in theaters in 2025. more than in 2024.

a collecting goal i had last year was to get half of the Palme d’Or winners on discs, and i ended up getting to 60/103. id like to try and get the rest of them that have had US releases overtime. it feels really good to see them all lined up together.

i’ve praised the original sam nendoroid as the greatest i own and a true achievement of toy design. this appears to be a good pretty significant downgrade, most notably the lack of articulation, which was remarkable for not just a chibi design, but a complex and layered outfit like sam’s.

i am currently 115+ hours into hundred line at this point. i have to say my favorite thing about it is that something in raincode that would take 8 hours to get through is over in as soon as a minute in this game. enormous improvement in respecting a players time.
