I just received a meter long chainsaw through the post and I'm not sure how I feel about this.

On Radio 4 is a "panel of experts" in criminal justice. Three of them are actual experts and all agree that prisons are largely pointless, the fourth is a tabloid journalist making the argument that people shoplift more now because sentences aren't long enough. As opposed to because poverty is up 🤦🏼‍♀️
