Take time to rest. It’s ok for you to not always be productive and hurrying about. Your mental wellbeing is vital to both mental and physical health. Allow yourself space to just exist without expectation.

Honestly. I’m at that point where I just want to run off to the woods and live a sequestered life away from all the hate being painted behind patriotism. Just living in my little wooden haven, naked and happy.

Sometimes you just need a good book out in a warm summer day on your naked flesh.

Working on reopening the photography business more than I have been the last year. The aim is to get back full time running my business so that we can get relocated to a more friendly state, as well as a place that we just generally like more.

The piece I created for my client. He wanted to recreate the photo he had taken earlier in his life to celebrate who he was and who he is today. So we create a single framed art piece for him to showcase both the original and the portrait I create for him.

Been trying to get out of a creative rut I’ve found myself in lately.

I love some good bathroom lighting.

When I chose to center my needs first, I began to heal from decades of being a people pleaser.

Your existence doesn’t need to be measured in productivity. Your worth doesn’t change by your level of productivity. It’s ok to just exist.

Give yourself space to rest and drink some water.

What’s your favorite aspect of T4T? For me it’s the not having to constantly explain myself and my relationship with gender.

Some days are easier than others to find joy in my body. Sometimes I don’t like my body. Other days it brings me great happiness. It’s finding the balance between the two that brought me a sense of peace when it comes to my relationship with my body.

There is this weird place we find ourselves in with bodies and feeling content with them. There are two extremes that I see often. On one had is those that body shame anyone with more than 2% body fat, and then the fetishizing of large bodies. Both of these can cause trauma. You’re enough as you are

I have allowed being queer and feat of the current climate to suppress my creative work. I have allowed voices of hate and bigotry to place my photography on the back burner. I hate that I’ve allowed people that power of me. I move forward with intent to create all the queer art I can.

Remember to celebrate yourself as well while you celebrate Pride this month. You’ve overcome every challenge you’ve faced so far and that’s worth lifting up.

Today in therapy: “If I was taken back to when life started and someone stood before me with two cards. One card I live life as a man, and the other card I live life as a woman. I’d pick the woman card.” And that was character progression I wasn’t expecting.

It’s pride month and I’m proud of the work I’ve done to find the person that was made to hide away for so long. Proud for not giving in to the hateful words of those that don’t understand. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Hump day finds us again. Take time for yourself. To sit and do what brings you joy. To just exist in your body. No pretense of productivity or having to hustle. Just a body at rest and allowing yourself peace, reflection, and healing.

Tummy Tuesday is here and I am again asking that you speak kindly to your body. With compassion and patience. Your body is the one companion that spends every moment of your life with you. Give yourself space to just exist without pressure to meet societal standards of perfection and worthiness.
