If the policies a political party espouses are only supported by far-right, extremist thugs, as in the case of Britain First & the Conservative Party, surely they can only be categorised as a far-right, extremist party. It's time for the media to do their job & say it as it is.

Divide and rule, however hateful, is the entire Tory policy from now until the election. It won't work, apart from appealing to the equally hateful / bigoted ~20%. If they're this abhorrent now, it's going to be fucking abysmal getting closer to the election.

A large part of the reason the UK is in the mess it finds itself is that there is far more media scrutiny of the plans in a speech by the leader of the opposition than there ever is for the plans enacted by the actual governing party over the past 13 years.

Just watched the first episode of Union by David Olusoga on iPlayer. Highly recommended - if only to show why the other countries of the UK were totally justified in not trusting England, even before the Brexit vote...
