Wow. Eddie Pineiro drilled a 59-yard field goal to give the 49ers a 23-20 lead with 2:52 remaining. The kicking game is the difference right now in this uber-tight NFC West battle. But... Matthew Stafford has the ball in his hands in a one-score game in the fourth.

The Rams have no idea what to do about Kendrick Bourne tonight. Easy career high for him -- 10 catches for 142 yards. Just one play across the middle of the field after another.

10 thoughts on the Rams after watching the coaches film: 1. Matthew Stafford came out a little off. He was throwing a lot to players he often doesn’t (RBs, mainly) and sped up by a Colts rush that was winning more than it normally does. This is where Puka Nacua really carried things.

Sean McVay on whether LG Steve Avila can play Thursday vs. the 49ers: "We'll see." He was off the injury report by week's end, but the Rams felt more comfortable giving Justin Dedich another start after the 2 weeks off. L.A. will have on true practice this week -- tomorrow.
