Can't believe I'm typing this - but RIP the great Diogo Jota (and his brother Andre). 28 years old, just married, a lovely young family. Absolutely heartbreaking. Best wishes to his family and friends.

RIP the truly wonderful, transcendent Brian Wilson. So much to thank you for - those concerts in 2002 and 2004 (Pet Sounds and Smile), that bootleg of Smile from the early 90's that meant so much and all that great music you added to our days. Most of all for all the love and mercy. Sleep well.

Was hoping to spend today posting some of my images from the Liverpool parade. It was a wonderful day, until it wasn't. I left before the events on Water St and it had been absolutely joyous until that point. Best wishes to everyone involved and gratitude to all of those who helped out.

RIP Jean Marsh. Some truly lovely performances in 'Doctor Who' (and far beyond of course). She will be much missed.

Happy 20h anniversary of the new series! We've been watching series one all week - and I'm re-reading the excellent Paul Hayes book 'The Long Game' about the road to the return of the show from the TV Movie onwards. Very much recommended.

Another absolutely stunning set of documentaries on the #DoctorWho 'The Savages' blu-ray. We really are spoiled. Loved the Innes Lloyd documentary - especially the coverage of his wider BBC career (some fantastic contributors on that one).

Absolutely loving the #DoctorWho Season 7 blu-ray set so far. It is my favourite season of the show and the work of the likes of Peter Crocker and Mark Ayres on the restoration is just brilliant. A major uplift in quality from the DVD's and clearly a real labour of love. Thanks to all involved.

RIP the wonderful Christopher Benjamin. Terrific in the 'Doctor Who' stories - 'Inferno' and 'Unicorn and the Wasp' and amongst many roles in a long and varied career - appearances in 'The Prisoner' and 'The Avengers'.

Happy Anniversary to the amazing Fourth Doctor - Tom Baker. I remember watching 'Robot' episode one 50 years ago, still miffed that 'My Doctor' had left. Tom, Lis and Ian were such a wonderful team and it heralded the start of a fantastic run of stories and a brilliant era. #DoctorWho #TomBaker

Finished the new #BoxofDelights documentary ('Time and Tide') made by @chrischapman81.bsky.social. Just wanted to say how fantastic it was - the location work in particular is just brilliant and really tells the story of the production.
