hello i have a couple more weeks of work coming up but they're pretty reasonable. i think i can safely say it: i survived the busy season! and played in a PT and an RC during it too!! what the fuck!!!

Went 4-4 at Houston this weekend with E Tron. I could have performed better if I had locked in morning of, but I'm overall happy with my play. Learned a ton and played a lot of good magic, the best I could ask for! PS Ran it back on Sunday's RCQ to pick up my Q for Portland! ^_^

really not my weekend. no Qs for anything anymore. gotta 5-0 in vegas. don't like standard at the moment. trying my best to stay positive but it's really fuckin hard. don't think many of the losses this weekend were from misplays, but because i'm new to titan i'm doubting that a bit.

amulet days 11 & 12: 3-2 after 3-2 after 1-4 (oops) after 3-2. the salt messages are fueling me. just a little bit more. i can do this. i can really do this. i think i'll be good enough to day 2 the RC by saturday.

amulet days 9 & 10: i am 3-2ing leagues. i am not making a total fool out of myself. work kicked my ass a bit more but i'm still making good progress. i believe in myself.

amulet day 8: work was long and exhausting so i took a day off of learning titan to cook a nice meal and to sort some of my physical cards :3

my goal is to learn amulet titan in 12 days well enough to day 2 the RC and if i get back on the pro tour in houston then that chain of bsky quote-posts will serve as my argument to ban the deck.

amulet day 7: for the past few days i've noticed roadblocks to my plans after i've started to take some game actions. it's becoming a smaller and smaller amount of time between those two things happening though! playing a lil slower + 5 more days to practice and i should catch things in time.

i have been listening to I Love My Computer by Ninajirachi pretty much nonstop when i have time to myself for the last two days. what an unreasonably good album.

amulet day 6: i bought a new laptop so i can do loops without it overheating

amulet day 5: played half a league, mtgo lag got bad, laptop started overheating (fuck!!) boros player conceded very early, don't think i played even close to optimally, lowered my confidence a lot despite winning the match then died to my own pact for the first time vs affinity. a rite of passage

amulet day 4:

today's gig can be uncharitably described as "sit in a chair for ~30 minutes until something happens for ~30 seconds then sit back down, repeat for 5 hours" goldfishing amulet on moxfield on my phone >:)

amulet day 3: playing in my weekly with no notes. successfully titan + 2 amulets looped with no notes. semi-successfully shift + 1 amulet + 4 lands looped with no notes. milled twest and second pact off analyst but had enough resources to make infinite hasty 1/3s i'm getting there!!!

i tried to play the deck without a guide or notes tonight. the feeling stupid levels are rising rapidly. this is the hardest deck i've ever played by like three orders of magnitude i'm not giving up, but, uh, yeah. oof.

if i want to to have fun and feel stupid at the same time, why smoke weed when i could just play amulet titan instead
