We came close — and we changed the game. This was never just about one result. We’re building a bold, honest, community-powered movement on the belief we can do politics differently in Forrest. The major parties can’t ignore the South West any longer. And that’s because of you.

What a journey the last six months have been, but it’s not over yet! The preference flows last night were challenging to follow and Labor has polled strongly in Forrest.

Heading back into Bunbury to watch the count with my volunteers, after traversing much of the electorate today.

This morning at the Graham Bricknell Music Shell in Bunbury, I joined the community to honour those who’ve served. It was an honour to lay a wreath and pay my respects during the ANZAC Day parade and ceremony. Lest we forget.

Lest we forget. Today, I pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of all who have served — in times of conflict and times of peace. May we carry forward their legacy by continuing to strive for peace. We will remember them.
