I've killed the Compiler just in time for the end of Season 1. The whole cryo loop is definitely up there with the higher echelons of multiplayer encounters, and I'm excited to see what comes next. Das Goop 🫛

Playing through the Edge of Fate campaign with an old Graviton Lance I had in my vault is a funny coincidence (finished it today, actually enjoyed the new mechanics)

The codex excerpts for synth cats in Marathon are hilarious. I'm imagining a Bingus saying a slur in private, then acting normal otherwise to other people.

I've been playing Dead Island 2 recently and I think I'd put it on a personal rating above Dying Light. It just hits all-around in a much better fashion.

The mid-season patch for Marathon is pretty dope. It makes passively accruing gear and equipment possible while incentivising less "Kill-on-Sight" plays. Actually had some friendly solo rounds today.

The UESC kill prereq for Cryo is so funny because it has everyone coming together to absolutely obliterate those cubic bastards

Finished reading Fantasticland the other day. It gets an easy recommendation from me, especially if you like suspense. That hotel chapter, goddamn

Dark Sun is such an interesting D&D setting. Post-apocalyptic fantasy makes for great reading.

Running a melee build in Fallout 4 is a much bigger pain in the ass, but I'm determined to see it through! 😅

Finished my replay of New Vegas (and got all my cheevos again to boot). I think my favorite part during this run was using a Fat-man to obliterate the Kahns while they were conveniently sitting together for dinner.

The shitty part about discussions around the Fallout show is that the well has been so irradiated by bad faith arguments that I feel I can't voice criticisms without sounding/looking like a lobotomite.

The God of the Woods by Liz Moore was a great read. It starts off slow with a lot of world building and set dressing for the narrative, but it makes excellent use of it later. (Now back to Agatha Christie lol)

Man, "The Mysterious Affair at Styles" was such a good read. I'm excited to hop into the next Poirot novel, but I've heard good things about "The God of the Woods," so I'll check that out first.

Finished 100%ing Silent Hill f and it left me with a very positive impression. I usually don't care about alternate endings, but SHf uses the cyclical nature of the franchise to its benefit, making each subsequent playthrough feel like pieces of a larger whole.
