Found out that AUTO from WALL-E looked like this originally… absolutely uninspiring glad he changed 👎👎👎 It’s not BAD but the wheel design is distinct while this is just another humanoid robot. Plus this loses the ‘control of the ship’ aspect inferred from the wheel design.

Interesting that people’s first idea with conscious AI is that it would use that autonomy for harm, not for good. Is it fear from the lack of control, or even a fear that deep down, humanity ‘deserves to be punished’?
