The Actor Awards did, however, go for HAMNET and SINNERS, which are very much about the power and appeal of art.

So regarding some of these perceived shocking omissions from the Actor Awards... most of them are not really that shocking.

Amy Madigan just locked in an Actor Award nom for WEAPONS. I love how she has gone from grassroots hopeful to sure thing this season.

Come to think of it, The Actor Awards didn't go for JAY KELLY or SENTIMENTAL VALUE, two films that capture the ups and downs of acting so well.

Wow the Actor Awards really didn't go for Sentimental Value which is odd considering its literally about actors. (And excellent.)
