Across the road from The Prebendal is St Mary's Church, Thame. This is the final resting place of Robin Gibb ❤️ The back of Robin's headstone has 27 Bee Gees/Robin song titles engraved onto 'ribbons'. There is a memorial stone for Andy Gibb just behind Robin's headstone 🩷 1/2

Of course, a visit to Thame has to include seeing The Prebendal, which belonged to Bee Gees Robin Gibb. I always photograph the house/gatehouse when I go, so here are some up to date photos. I don't think I had ever realised that there is a horse and rider weather vane on the roof! (last photo!).

One of my favourite Bee Gees related places to go to is the Thame Museum in Oxfordshire .. and, of course, I had to take @notabigdill.bsky.social There were a few new items in the Robin Gibb Gallery on this visit which I shall share. It is always good to see my favourite red and black jacket!! 😆

This is Bee Gees Barry Gibb's English house in Bucks that has a gatehouse at the entrance. The actual house is set back from the road and isn't visible but the gates were open this time! We were only there for a few mins but we are fairly certain that we spotted a Gibb son walk past those gates!! 😀

More Bee Gees sights I decided to show @notabigdill.bsky.social around Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire. Maurice & Lulu got married at St James's Church on 18 Feb 1969. Robin was best man. I tried to visualise the crowds that had been outside the church that day! It's a really lovely church! 1/4

This Adam's Row house was owned by Robert Stigwood and was where the Bee Gees were often photographed. Around the corner in Carlos Place were 4 phone boxes in between 2 trees (where photos 3&4 were taken) .. trees are still there but in place of the phone boxes is now a water feature called Silence!

I know I've posted some of these Bee Gees sights before on previous visits but I hope they're still of interest to everyone! @notabigdill.bsky.social was keen to see Brown Hart Gardens but unfortunately it's currently closed for major renovation. It should be open again in September!

This is 67 Brook Street, Mayfair, London - it was Robert Stigwood's home & RSO HQ! Many recognisable Bee Gees photos were taken inside and outside here! The Bee Gees had a recording studio/office in the basement and many songs were composed in this building. In 2008 Robin unveiled the plaque!

Next stop on the Bee Gees tour 😆 was 68 Eaton Square in Belgravia, London - where Barry used to live! Barry & Linda returned to this house after their wedding where he carried her over the threshold. Wedding photos were taken in the private gardens opposite. Lonely Days with Barnaby was filmed here.

A new Bee Gees site for me to visit was Caxton Hall, London which opened in 1883 as Westminster Town Hall. Many celebrities got married here inc Robin & Molly in 1968 and Barry & Linda in 1970. There used to be a canopy over the front entrance - now gone. The building has now become apartments! 1/3

We went to the Landmark Hotel in Marylebone .. this is a hotel I've walked past many times but never realised its Bee Gees significance! The Bee Gees had photos taken and were interviewed here! We were allowed inside but couldn't take photos .. it's a gorgeous hotel (inside photos are not mine!) 😀

I've just found a Brit Awards magazine on my bookshelf that I picked up back in 1997 - it was free!! This was the year that the Bee Gees collected a Brit Award for their outstanding contribution to music .. and I've been lucky enough to see their Brit Award in Robin's Gallery at the Thame Museum!
