Briefly participated in a "The Greening of Detroit" event at St Paul of the Cross, Detroit. Dozens of saplings planted.

I missed most of October last year confined to a PICU room. I love the colors this year and feel blest to see them.

Visited my alma mater, University of Detroit Jesuit High '78. Great to walk the hallowed halls again. First time back in 40 years. Open House for prospective students. Current students acted as guides, performed, served. The boys made me swell with pride. I love this place to the depths of my soul.

Excellent turnout at No Kings / No Tyrants peaceful rally here in Southeast Michigan. Many cars passing honked in approval. It brought me hope.

We were a band of brothers from other mothers in the rock and roll / punk / new wave business ... played here circa 1980. The Ramones played here many times. Our group did a "Good Morning New York" shoutout / remote video feature in the morning and played a set on the small stage in the evening.

We once had the honor of living with a miniature wienerdog. His name was Oscar Meyer. Did this exact thing. They are little rascals. Oscar used to sleep on our Golden Retriever's back. Bud didn't mind at all.

As an editor prone to cringing at some verbal usages, I must concur. Colloquial speech need not be overly corrected. And doing so usually just makes you a jerk. There is a real difference, though, between teaching and just having a conversation.
