I've played every other FF mainline (and most of the spinoffs). If people ever ask, I love explaining any references in characters/music/location because it's fun and I hope that my excitement will rub off and get folks to play other games in the series. Even if it doesn't, I just enjoy sharing

Story-wise, it's getting a little better as I go. Still really not a fan of the art style used in like 2/3 of each issue, it's so blocky and lifeless compared to the rest.

10 issues into IDW's 2019 Transformers run and seeing why nobody talks about it. Not only is it profoundly boring, but the constant art swapping mid-issue is terrible. They've got one great artist and two basically putting heads on squares and cylinders. "Bold New Era" indeed.
