Played some solo Nemesis today, to try out the new 'constructs' pack and make some judgements on painting the miniatures. Not sure I'm sold on the escape pods/engines/coordinate computer - they look great on the table but not sure they add anything apart from fiddliness... #boardgamesky

Got Auztralia to the table today - one of Martin Wallace's lesser known titles, but always great! Definitely the most unusual Cthulhu themed game in my collection, and the only railway game - the action selection mechanism is excellent, with each action's time affecting turn order. #boardgamesky

A chef, a mobster and a magician walk into an inmsmouth guesthouse before all hell breaks loose... Yep, it's Arkham Horror 3rd edition - Calvin and Tommy filled in for the dead and mad (respectively) Dexter and Michael towards the end but Zoe still managed to defeat Dagon and Hydra! #boardgamesky

We started the campaign for Aliens: AGDitC tonight at the local gaming club. Ripley, Hudson, Hicks, Gorman, Frost and Vasquez managed to extract Newt with no loss to personnel or cards. Great game, but don't expect such luck at the atmosphere processing station next time! #aliens #boardgamesky

The finished books - I used some Blood Bowl decals for the eldritch symbols and writing from www.forgottenchapters.eu I finished it with a light coat of matt varnish to take the shine off. I've been slightly wary of transfers but am really warming to them for stuff like this! #boardgamesky

Revisited an old favourite, Maximum Apocalypse. It was one of the first games I ever crowd funded and have been meaning to play again since the campaign expansion released. I enjoy the light weight, along with the unconventional survivor choice and 'pick your poison' apocalypses. #boardgamesky
