Carrion Screaming: Week 2 Managed to find some time to get the base (or "skin") colours done with the airbrush - I always find it easiest to build up the colours this way. Also did a test for the team colour orange - Burning Ore (or left) from Army Painter my preference. #bloodbowl #boardgame

Star Wars: Rebellion with a first timer tomorrow so decided to remove the Rise of the Empire expansion - don't know until we've played of course, but starting to suspect it may be better without it (although concede it might be nice to have once the core is played out). Any takes? #boardgame

Boardgame day yesterday, played Nemesis: Lockdown, Thunder Road: Vendetta and Lords of Waterdeep - and lost at all three. Forgot to take the photos because I was having too much fun so borrowed some from others present - didn't do many day sessions in 2025, going to try and do more! #boardgame

Was supposed to be the last game of 2025... Instead, the first of 2026! Star Wars: Rebellion - one of our favourites, which we try to play every Christmas. The Empire located the base on Tatooine and destroyed it using the Death Star... also, Luke was executed by Jabba on Dagobah! #boardgame

Trying to fit another couple of games into 2025! First, Escape the Dark: The Last of Us. With the Escape the Dark games you know what you get for mechanisms, but TLOU additions make it a lot more interesting. With play coming in at 45 mins, it's a good filler with low complexity. #boardgames

Mansions of Madness today, with Shattered Bonds being a much more enjoyable scenario than the last - Interesting premise and good combat/investigation balance - I assume we had a partial victory due to NPC death, but difficult to tell as the app crapped out when we defeated the big bad! #boardgames

The Old King's Crown by @theoldkingscrown.bsky.social finally on the table! A seemingly complex game which is very intuitive once you get going, with plenty to discover here - I suspect we'll be unlocking tactics in subsequent plays, or at least I hope so given my middling score! #boardgames

Played V-Sabotage today - WWII commandos is definitely a theme I love in gaming, but it fell flat for me in solo a few months ago. Today we played a 4 player game and it really revealed the enjoyment - we failed today but it captured a place in the collection for future missions! #boardgamesky

Haven't painted in a while so eased back into #shadowsofbrimstone Forbidden Fortress with the living statues - didn't like the verdigris effect from a bottle so went with copper and a green dry brush, then copper again. May add an ink to force the details like the art, can't decide. #boardgamesky

Excellent game of Fury of Dracula tonight; after a scuffle in Sofia with Lord Godalming and Mina Harker, Dracula fled across Northern Europe only to be hunted down by Dr Seward in Bordeaux. Not the most elegant of hidden movement games, but will always remain in the collection! #boardgamesky

Played some Mansions of Madness today, in what the app tells me was the first time in nearly a year! Enjoy getting this to the table but the scenario (Dark Reflections) felt a little bit flat - not terrible, but not one I would return to with more interesting choices available. #boardgamesky

Got Auztralia to the table today - one of Martin Wallace's lesser known titles, but always great! Definitely the most unusual Cthulhu themed game in my collection, and the only railway game - the action selection mechanism is excellent, with each action's time affecting turn order. #boardgamesky
