Finally went back and read AD&D 1e and wow. Kind of showcases what's missing from the 2024/25 rules. The future for me might be back in those older editions.

The tension of social media for me is that due to scale it's unrealistic to expect everyone I talk with be able to respond and carry on a conversation. What that means is that I just speak at people as if they're walls. Blegh.

The 2024 PHB and DMG have some stellar organization and it has made many aspects of being a DM a lot easier and more fun for me. That said, it's been hard to convert my 5E West Marches over, and having to parse two versions of everything has been tough.

In my rewatch of Buffy two episodes have really hit me hard - The Body and After Life. If you want some insight into receiving world-shattering tragic news and how that affects EVERYTHING, there's no better episode than The Body. It's a hard episode for me to watch because I've been Buffy.

I never really saw many people in my feeds talk about Dragon's Dogma 2 all that much and that's too bad. It's an interesting game and full of all kinds of little imperfections that make it one of the more unique RPG experiences of the year.

So, Dragon's Dogma 2 has certainly been eating up my free time. Still way too early in my playthrough to have much more to say other than I think it might be one of the best ways to depict the actual distance of travel between towns and villages.

Is there a simplified explainer of YouTube subscriptions and super chats out there for someone out of touch like myself?

I'm incredibly frustrated with the sizing in Men's pants, specifically jeans. I'm not the same size across brands, nor across different styles. The jeans I'm wearing right now are 38x34 (a rarity, I know), and they swim on me. That same waist on another pair doesn't even make it up past the knees.

Despite work doing everything in its power to eat up all my time, I managed to get the next episode of @thesedemondayz.bsky.social edited and ready for tomorrow. Lots of mushroom sounds.

I work with a lot of producers that could really take some time to learn how to interface with editors. We generally aren't there on location/set and can only approach the footage as we receive it. Asking for the shot of the Oober Goober activation makes no sense to us. Be specific.

The BG3 soundtrack is fantastic.

5-year-old snuck off to a corner of the house and cut her hair. Surprisingly, it didn’t turn out too bad. Probably would have been a better lesson if it had.

I'm having an organizational crisis as a DM/GM. The apps aren't working and I just can't seem to find the right Google Drive workflow. I'm not entirely sure how to proceed either. I'm even having a harder time keeping my "mostly organized" current campaign together. Sigh.

Out of all the things that excited me about the new Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update, it was the ability to untrack quests that had me the most hyped.

With the iPhone 15 that puts me about four versions back unless there are extra versions I'm not remembering. My 11 is still running great and I'm frankly kind of impressed.

I’m sitting here trying to trigger the Cyberpunk 2077 update because I wanted to try it out before I have to have a lame work day. Likely not going to happen because slow roll-out and having to wait while they stream about how much has changed.

All day I've had to remind myself that it's Wednesday, which means my handle on the days this week is tenuous at best.

Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update is two days away and it's getting harder to keep my cool about it. I've experienced almost every version of this game, from it's absolutely broken 1.0 up to now. These two days are going to feel like an eternity.

Feature request: The ability to filter quotes and reposts on here. Some days I want to see what people are working on, but other days I want absolutely none of it.

What excites me about the prospect of these new social media sites is the fresh start of it all. The chance to brush aside the buildup from hustle posting and actually engage with people. Sure, I've got stuff to share too, but I don't want that to be all there is here.

I generally don't run my dnd games with the stricter encumbrance rules because I can't figure out how to make them fun. I've experienced them as a player and the continual managing of weight and items took all the time away from fun roleplay and combat.

Dipping my toes into Legend Keeper to manage the setting and lore for my West Marches dnd campaign. Part of me thinks that I can just keep doing this in Google Drive, but I can't seem to find an organizational sweet spot with it.

I've been warming up to Starfield, but it is definitely a step down from Baldur's Gate and even Cyberpunk 2077 (which I'll be bouncing to later this week). The companions are much better written than I expected, and certainly better written than in Fallout 4.

Try as I might, I can't get rid of anything in my inventory in BG3 (all rpgs, really). I understand that there's a camp inventory, but what if I need that one item right this very minute? What if somehow clearing up space gives me all the bad endings? WHAT IF?!?!

How are people putting 100 or so hours into Act 1 of Baldur's Gate 3? Is it just replaying the act with different characters? Have I just missed huge swaths of Act 1?

A common work occurence will be a message that says "I'll let you know when blah blah blah" and then I never get any kind of message letting me know when blah blah blah. Does no one have follow-through anymore?

How do feeds know to add your content into them? Is there some algorithm at work or a trigger of some kind?

Has anyone done a full 4-player Baldur’s Gate 3 run? Upsides? Downsides? Unexpected issues?

Not really finding anything on this, but in BG3 does playing with 3 friends mean that you'll experience none of the other party members' quests/arcs?

One of the major villains in BG3 kidnapped Halsin and was like, "take out the other guy or else you'll never see your friend again." Excuse me, ma'am, I can fulfill that request but there are a lot of side quests I have to do first.

On the one hand, gifs communicate my feelings on certain matters very well and they're fun to use. On the other hand, I appreciate the lack of clutter here on the bluesky.
