This post has been on my mind for a few days now, so I’m going to say something about it. 🧵

Different decade, same problem. Back then, the “boogeyman” for local residents was townhouses; today, it’s towers. I wonder how many of the people opposing the Quadra–McKenzie plan now are living in homes that were fiercely opposed in 1977.

Mckenzie Ave bikelanes in #saanich are completely cooked. Too heavy for me to plow and will require much heavier machinery. Realistically, they will sit fouled until it warms up again. Plowed it yesterday and could have maintained it if it wasn't for city plows dumping road snow into it...

Today will be another big bike snow day! -6 service calls incl 2 fridges not cooling. -Bringing the plow with me as I get around I can plow. -A few community food deliveries as usual drivers are toast today. Wish me luck!

Did some bike lane and sidewalk plowing in #saanich and #victoriabc today. I've got a bigger trike now and it's pretty straight forward. I wish the city plows could somehow avoid filling the bike lane and sidewalk.
